To your last sentence we know there is a budget shortfall and some programs need to go but the financial/accounting methods in the athletic department are being done in a haphazard fashion? Makes perfect sense to me. I love it when a plan comes together. Cue gfhockey......"Extend Fashion"!

The fact that there are 62 collegiate women's bowling teams, just to satisfy Title IX in most cases if not all, shows how pathetic this "law" is.

Get a women's rowing team, which would be one of what...20 of them in the country?? Top tier and let them row up and down the Red. Dump women's hockey. Problem solved. ........and I'll take a little cream in my coffee too please.

So how does Alabama with it's FB program, just as one example, deal with similar spending/funding for any women's sport in this "tier"/"'national rank" argument? Maybe I should sleep at a HIE tonight but I don't get it? Edit: Looks like UND-1 beat me to it by a minute.

Obviously women's hockey is not going to be cut so Kennedy just needs to be a swift executioner at this point and get this over with.

Trust me I get all that but as UNDvince stated the fear-mongering of Title IX compliance has blinded those involved with what needed to be done...and as one that has been labeled a "hockey only" fan here on multiple occasions the women's program needs to go if this is truly a financially driven issue.

To your last sentence not sure how Kennedy can feel comfortable with the ways things have transpired especially after last night's debacle. It is mess he needs to clean up but it is also his responsibility as to how the clean up goes...........and it has not gone well.

This...^^^ Faison needs to be shown the door ASAP. This is HIS athletic department. Guy's a eunuch. Kennedy needs to end this embarrassing scenario ASAP as well...he is at the top of the UND food chain and needs to start acting the part. Kudos to all who, under ridiculously uncomfortable circumstances, gave impassioned pleas to keep playing/coaching the sport they love. The state's flagship university took a direct hit after last night's fiasco.

Michigan St is in town for hockey Thanksgiving weekend. The prospect of a home FB playoff win and an a** kicking sweep of a Pig 10 opponent will be tempting for many. I'd say odds are favorable for a good FB crowd if that happens.

I get all that but the bottom line is NDSU/Dome won't have 100 empty seats Saturday regardless of your point and/or beet harvest. IMO UND should easily have their biggest crowd of the year Saturday.

Get tired of that excuse.......you don't think there's plenty of NDSU season ticket holders that are in agriculture that are also in the midst of some type of harvest ? Doubt there will be much less than the 18,700 capacity in the Dome on Saturday. Let's give that excuse a rest or are beet farmers exclusively UND FB fans?

Even if UND goes 8-3 winning 8 of last 9 I can't see in any fashion how they get left out especially after getting screwed last year. 7-4 is a nightmare scenario again.

Easy with the "doom and gloom" big fella. 8-3 will get UND in IMO. Winning out is obviously a playoff spot. If UND gets to 7-2 and is outside the top 15 then I'll feel something is really up from a bias standpoint.
