"The corona is 10x more fatal than the flu"...... Since been debunked statistically. Was at 3% mortality 3 weeks ago, then down to 1% (hence your 10x worse), now down to roughly at 0.5%.

This country is being bright to its knees by fear....not the virus. Recovery from getting the virus is a couple weeks. Recovery of society from this hysteria will be years.

BTW can the government just cancel the flood season in the RRV while they are at it? Let's not forget that issue for those who are going to have to deal with that tangibly.

So where does end?? At what point are we not able to do anything from a social interaction standpoint? If you are anxious, depressed or scared the last thing one needs is to be totally isolated unnecessarily? Those mental health issues spread within someone faster than this virus.

Once you take away any sense of joy, hope, peace, normalcy and safety from an individual they start to become desperate. Do that to an entire nation over an extended period of time........ I talked to colleagues.....an internist and a pulmonologist yesterday. Both way smarter than me. "Overblown" is the term used repeatedly. Maybe they are right.....maybe not. IMO the secondary ramifications of this crisis on our society and country will dwarf the infectious issues caused by the virus itself. Look at Tom Hanks........he isn't dead. He is going to start filming Cast Away 2 today, this time with a basketball courtesy of the NBA, since he'll be in quarantine.

The secondary issues from this crisis coupled with the hysteria are hitting the healthcare systems as well. ERs, Urgent Care and Walk-in clinics are having to deal with an increase in patients with mental health issues....... increased anxiety and depression, alcohol and drug intoxications, and suicidal inclinations not to mention those who think they just might be sick. This is far from a single pronged issue.

7 weeks ago first confirmed case in US.......over 1200 confirmed cases with 34 deaths. Something has to give to kill 700-800K as predicted.
