  1. I could see him wearing an A this year, but not the C. Now, if he stuck around another year...then maybe.
  2. Sounds like Alexander is probably gone: http://gfheraldsiouxhockey.blogspot.com/20.../latest-on.html
  3. Confirmed in Herald: http://www.grandforks.com/mld/grandforks/s...ta/15163443.htm Last line of that article:
  4. What kind of stats has he put up recently? Must be impressive to be chosen to play for the U18 selects team.

    News on Toews

Very good news if true! Having both Oshie and Toews back will be huge. If they both return, the Sioux will have two of the best forwards in the nation.

    News on Toews

Not sure where else to post this, so I will post it here: DU's Paul Stastny signed with the Avalanche. http://www.coloradoavalanche.com/news/curr...ails.asp?ID=588

    News on Toews

VandeVelde is coming to UND this fall. Marto, Trupp, and LaPoint are the only recruits on the 07-08 recruit list.
  8. Agreed. I was hoping that we would get Wilson when I heard that UND was in the running for him. That's too bad. Vegas- Has UND expressed interest in Gregoire, or vice versa?
  9. You are all wise, grand master.
  10. Fortunately and unfortunately.
  11. Toews and Tessier would be big pick-ups for the Sioux. Let's hope that we can get them...
  12. Your user name is incorrect.
  13. I'm basing it on articles that I have read with comments from both the players and the teams involved. Some are linked on the front page of USCHO. I agree that there is a strong chance that all 3 will not be in the NCAA ranks this season. From what I have read/heard, Kessel is the least likely to be back. It seems to me that if he gets an offer from Boston that he will bolt. EJ and JT are both tougher to read, as both of them are so young. The comments from those two seem to indicate that they will do what their teams want, but Toews' comments seem to imply that he feels that he needs more work before moving on. We'll see I guess. Maybe I am way off-base here, and PK and EJ will stay at UMN, and Toews will leave.
  14. CSTV article on Toews and the draft: http://www.cstv.com/sports/m-hockey/stories/062006aae.html
  15. Link? And I wouldn't be surprised if Heisenberg posted his info based upon that earlier USHR report (that, according to JP Parise, was premature). We'll have to wait and see I suppose. I think that Toews' decision has more of a bearing on next year's Sioux team. But I would love to see both of them come back for another run at the title.
  16. It's probably a bit early to be thinking about who will go pro after next season being that we are probably still going to get hit with a few more this off-season.
  17. He would be a force. It would be fun to watch.
  18. Another blog post from the Sioux hockey blog: http://gfheraldsiouxhockey.blogspot.com/20...draft-news.html Talks about if Toews will come back or not.
  19. Agreed. It will be an interesting time after the draft is complete. I sure hope he comes back though, as he would be a big part of the team next season...and a huge loss if he left.
  20. I'm thinking of Spiewak.
  21. Another post from the Sioux hockey blog about Bishop: http://gfheraldsiouxhockey.blogspot.com/20...bishops-gm.html I'm liking this kid more and more already. Sounds like he is a very fast skater and will get progressively better each year. Speed kills baby!
  22. That makes a lot of sense...I would bet that is the "recruit" that Suze was alluding to. So Shea Hamilton. He would have to sit out a year for transferring, then he would be eligible the fall of 07. From what I remember about him, he has a good shot. We'll have to see I guess. His frosh year he looked to be a great find for UAA, but he spent alot of the season injured. Last year it looks like he was benched for some games, supposedly from lack of effort. He only had 7pts (3G,4A) for UAA last season in 24 games, but that can be deceiving being that the leading scorer for the SeaWolves only had 15 points.
  23. And it looks like Suze is hinting that it is not Walsky. I am wondering why she is putting Alaska in quotation marks as well. She does seem confident though, like you said, as she said that the recruit signed a few weeks ago already.
  24. Evidently Trupp, Bishop, and another Alaskan player. Trupp and this unknown player for 07-08...Bishop for 06-07.
