  1. Keep Taco and Guentzel under control (much like they did against Moore/Heinen from DU), and I think a sweep is happening.
  2. So Tomek finally gets some action...in an exhibition game with less than 5 minutes left and faces 0 shots. Hard to get a gauge on him with that.
  3. Good night for hockey results! UND win. DU sweeps UNO. WMU tie (win) against Golden Domers. The unthinkable with CC dropping SCSU and helping us in the NCHC standings. Good game between QU and Harvard tonight too. QU got out to a 4-0 lead in the 1st (including 3 goals in 36 sec) only to have Harvard claw back and tie it in the 3rd. Then QU won in OT.
  4. UMN got their revenge on PSU today, winning 7-1. They're almost to .500 now.
  5. Bummed that CC couldn't get a point or two out of SCSU...they kept it close. I have a feeling that tonight won't be as close.
  6. PSU 1, UMN 0 2nd per UM 5, MSU 2 End 1st BC 1, PC 0 1st
  7. In a "defense-optional" game, BU beats Harvard 6-5 while scoring 3 goals in the final 4 minutes. Only Harvard's 2nd loss of the season.
  8. http://www.duluthnewstribune.com/sports/hockey/3917782-college-mens-hockey-grand-rapids-avery-peterson-transferring-umd-be-closer Avery Peterson, who left UNO earlier this season, will be transferring to Duluth. He can start playing Jan 2017. He'll be closer to his family and ill brother.
  9. http://www.sbncollegehockey.com/hockey-east/2016/1/4/10709412/scott-conway-commits-to-providence Former Penn St player...current Penticton teammate of Jost...Scott Conway committed to Providence. He's currently 2nd in points in BCHL, 12 ahead of Jost in 3rd.
  10. I can't believe the US can't beat the Russians in these semi-final games. Ever. Good chance of not getting a medal again this year.
  11. That's surprised me as well. It's not good for the US team in this WJC, but could be good news for UND fans for next season...
  12. Duluth beat them in OT but outshot them 44-17. Sounds like a tossup for us without Schmaltz and Boeser. I'm just hoping that Tomek can make an appearance. He's a ghost goalie at this point.
  13. DU outshooting Notre Dame 43-11 in the 3rd period but still tied 1-1.
  14. Definitely an impressive streak. Similar to the BC goalie and the UMD goalie streaks from earlier this season. If Cags had any Hobey aspirations, they took a hit tonight with 0 points against a team that was overmatched. Shows just how special that CBS line is...each player does their role.
  15. 1-0 Shutout win. Cam gets the UND record and yet another shutout. Almost 40sog and only 1 goal to show for it doesn't do much for the offensive numbers against a weaker opponent. A win is a win though, so hopefully the boys are a bit better at finishing tomorrow!
  16. I'm at work so will watch the game later once I get home, but it's good that he turned it around. Watching the USA/Sweden game, I kept thinking "and this guy will be the next #1 pick?".
  17. BC doubles their loss total on the season over the last two games, losing 2-1 to Providence. RMU wins the Three Rivers Championship over UML? OSU wins the Florida Classic Championship by throttling Cornell, 8-0? OSU has five wins all year! Some weird results this week. Hopefully UND takes care of business against UAH.
  18. Down goes the undefeated #1 team! Cornell beats Providence 2-1 in OT to end their perfect season. Also, Ohio State beats BC, 3-2. Wouldn't have predicted that one.
  19. They just need to sign a pact like the Oshie/Duncan/Chorney year.
  20. That game was meaningless though because it (along with UW's win later that night in OT) only allowed UND to get into the NCAA's.
