  1. OK, a logo can be a mascot....but isn't necessarily a mascot. A logo can be letters, symbols, objects, etc.... A Mascot, however, is more defined. It is a person, animal, object, etc that defines a group of people or persons. It is something that represents these people. Therefore, the Sioux image, IS a mascot, and can be a logo at the same time. The Sioux qualities that represent UND are the past history of the Sioux people, the proud people that lived in this area long before. We don't need some white guy with an indian costume jumping around like Illinois or FSU... Yeah, it's a "mascot" but that's not what defines a mascot. The Sioux image and idea that we are proud to know is our Mascot. Don't limit the idea of a mascot as something that runs around a stadium or building cheering people up, cuz that's not what a mascot is.
  2. Yeah, for the amount of people that show up to mens UND game, it's probably the quietest crowd I've seen for it's size. Especially when they are losing, you can hear a pin drop. Kinda makes some game a yawner. Go to the Kohl Center and check out a rowdy crowd!
  3. Maybe leave the CCHA and WCHA as is...and add some good D-3 programs in the midwest to the CHA. I know Wisconsin has like 3 alone that are top 5 or top 10 teams nationally. #1 St. Norbert is by Green Bay, WI. #4 Wisconsin - River Falls is right by the border of Minnesota. #7 Wisconsin - Stout is a half hour across the border. They might struggle at first, but recruiting will increase in the long run and bring them up to CHA standards. I honestly don't know the talent level of these D-3 schools, but, I think it has the potential to create some interconference rivalries as well, yet doesn't affect the CCHA and WCHA any more than they already have been in the past. Just a thought.
  4. Although getting a 3 seed is nicer, would you rather have to play a streaky Wisconsin team again, or MSU-Mankato....? Just a thought. Mankato and Wisconsin might not even finish in the 6th and 7th spots.
  5. That's the one! You are my hero!!!!!!!
  6. This is the type of reply I'm lookin for! Thanks!
  7. Sweet! Keep them coming! Keep in mind that I only really want songs that they play there, just to have the REA atmosphere. This is what I had before this, in this order (some are kinda funny like Copa Cabana, haha): 1) Miseria Cantare (The Beginning) - AFI 2) Stand up and Cheer - Sioux band 3) The Kids Aren't All Right - Offspring 4) Follow - Breaking Benjamin <---------favorite song! 5) Right Now - Van Halen 6) The Slam - Toby Mac 7) Sirius - Alan Parsons Project 8) Welcome to the Jungle - Guns and Roses 9) Song 2 - Blur 10) Copa Cabana - Barry Manilow 11) Machine Head - Bush (not sure if they play this one for sure) 12) In Heaven There is No Beer - Sioux Band 13) Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne 14) Raise a Little Hell - Trooper 15) The Way you Move - Outkast 16) Hit Me With Your Best Shot - Pat Benetar 17) Fight On Sioux - Sioux Band 18) Hold Your Head Up - Argent (not good when they play this one...) 19) Beds Are Burning - Midnight Oil (they didn't play this one this year really) 20) It's For You - Sioux Band 21) Hockey Song - Sompin' Tom! 22) Cecilia - Simon and Garfunkel (have to move this one somewhere) I'm looking for the song that they play with the pump up video where it says "The Heritage, the Legacy, etc..." before they play The Slam by Toby Mac So, any others, let me know! Thanks A
  8. I finally got an account to work! My friend and I were making a list of all the songs we could think of that they play during the course of any men's hockey game. We have a lot, but know we are missing a lot too. Anything you can think of throw it out there! I will post the final list when I think it is satisfactory... A
