I plan on making the trek up with my son for his first game. Since he's only 8 months old, he won't be paying attention, but hopefully this is a first in a long line of UND football games for the two of us

Has anyone seen much of Nichols at QB from practices / scrimmages past? What seems to be his strong point?

He's listed as assisting on a tackle, so I'd assume that it is a mistake. I sure as heck don't remember seeing him in the game.

Per Stu Whitney, UND has offered Sioux Falls Roosevelt LB John Wessel. SFI retweeted a Jody Norstedt tweet stating this (and I also say Stu's original tweet). Apparently he's waiting for the other Dakota schools to offer.

How did he look? I think he could be a player, but have a feeling some of the big boys will start taking interest in him as the year goes on.

If you're looking at the roster on undsports.com, all freshmen who came in this year are listed as just Fr, while anyone that redshirted last year are considered RFr. If you're seeing this somewhere else, then I'm not sure what to think about it. But the reason the herald article states "True freshman" is because that's what he is, whereas Butler and Sparks are both Redshirt Freshmen, and are noted as such.

If you want to go up right by the Southdale Center, there is a place called Tavern on France that you can build your own burger, pizza, salad, and bloody mary. I was only there once, but it was phenomenal IMO. http://www.thetaverngrill.com/?loc=tof There is also an Original Pancake House off of France on 70th Street if the kids like pancakes. If you like pasta, there is a place called Ciao Bella pretty close to the Fuddruckers. I'm sure I could find some more, but I spend most of my time in the North/Northwest metro so the Bloomington area isn't all that well known by me.

SFI just tweeted they are hearing of a potentially big blow to the depth chart this year and are trying to confirm. That doesn't sound good.
