No, not really, I was just thinking through them outloud. I see a split in my crystal ball.

I think it will come down to the goalies. Whoever shows up and is "on their game" will likely lead their team to victory. I think if we can get an early goal tonight, the crowd will help motivate the team and we will do fine. If they score first..... Anyway, I am looking forward to a great hockey game and getting off to a great start for the second half of the season. This is a huge game in terms of ranking and pairwise. It would be nice to notch a sweep, but that will be a tall order against Duluth. I think we will see a split. GO SIOUX!!

Now we see if our first-half-of-the-season-success will snake bite us for the second half, or if we roll like we typically do post-break, picking up steam as we go. UMD will be a great test. I say we will split this weekend. UMD would have a tough time sweeping us at the Ralph, but it could happen. We could sweep too, but I think the overwhelming odds are for a split. And a ton of penatly time. This is really a key matchup for pairwise ranking. And being such a strong rivalry, I think it will motivate the boys. GO SIOUX!!
