Yes, yes and yes. McMahon centered the fourth line with Lee Marvin on the left wing and Brian Canady on the right wing. Jones was paired with Smaby. Yes. He was paired with Nick Fuher. Porter played left wing on the third line, which was centered by Genoway and had Fylling on the right wing. Early in the game, this was UND's most effective line. They were hustling, hitting and creating scoring opportunities.

SFiP, I can assure you that the S-SM players got quite an eyeful tonight.

Both those guys who broadcast the the 2000 BC-UND championship games were bozos. They were so pro-BC it wasn't funny and they acted as if Mottau was the only player worth mentioning. However, I have to say that after watching Farkas against St. Lawrence and UND at the Frozen Four, he was one of the best players on either team. Remember, it was Farkas who undressed Roche, faked out Goehring and then hit the crossbar to nearly score a shorthanded goal. Had the puck gone in, it would have been an amazing play that probably would have changed the course of the game. Farkas deserved the accolades he received. Mottau did not.

Virg Foss has some info about the BC-UND series in his column in today's Herald. The most important news is that Patrick Eaves twisted his knee in practice, but will play. Zach Parise and Matt Jones will play. Tyler Palmiscno will likely see some action this weekend. Virg also has a good article about the reunion of Shattuck-St. Mary's players for this series.

We'll have to form a support group for forecheck. I'll stop by Sam's Club and pick up a bulk order of tissues.

Sorry, but I have to maintain my journalistic integrity or what little is left of it after hanging around this board. I watched a bit of BC's practice this evening at the REA. I didn't see anything that the Sioux couldn't handle.

Nobody is saying that the sight gags are a substitute for 11,000 screaming, rabid, rowdy Sioux fans. It's just another way to have a little fun at BC's expense.

I like it! We just need to get the signs made big enough to easily show up on TV.

That photo is displayed huge in the REA lobby. I'm sure many BC fans will see it on their way into the arena. In fact, two years ago, I arranged for a tour of the REA for a couple of BC fans. They definitely noticed that particular picture.

That might work. Heck, you could do a Gionta, Yoda, too.

As long as it happens, does it really matter whose idea it was? Forecheck's on the case, so I think we've got the ball rolling. Anyone got any good Flutie pictures? The bigger, the better.

I think the UND students should have a life-sized cardboard cut-out of Doug Flutie in the stands with them. It shouldn't be too hard to make because it would only be about 3 feet tall.

Okay, I was wrong. But there's been no discussion of this series since Sept. 20. I find that troubling.

Well, that would solve a lot of problems, wouldn't it? I took a look at the BC Eagles fan forum on http://www.eagleaction.com. There's not a lot of talk about his game over there, either. Some BC fans think the Eagles can sweep the Sioux while others are a bit more realistic and expect a split. One of their fans thinks the Sioux are a one-line team with a freshman goalie. I'd feel more comfortable about this series if I knew Matt Jones was 100 percent.

It's hard to believe that nobody has started a thread on this series before now. I guess that we were all too busy discussing the Gophers and Maine. Here's an article from the Boston Globe on the BC Eagles and the expectations for this season. Blais mentioned on the coaches show Wednesday night that out east, the Eagles are being touted as a national championship team.

I agree, which is why I'll probably vote for the water park.
