You're talking apples and oranges. Negotiating a "league deal" isn't even close to being the same thing as negotiating a contract to broadcast a single game. I'm certainly no expert, but I do know enough to understand that there's a vast difference between the two.
I'm not going to pretend to know what has to happen for this game to be broadcast. I do know that before MSC became FSN, the Friday afternoon tournament game was broadcast. Obviously, FSN is in the driver's seat. They have the people, facilities and equipment in St. Paul and in the Xcel Center to do the game.
Why won't they? I really don't know.
