I think hockey1 is assuming that we'd all know that somebody else's AD was sieving our goalie during a game. If that happened, I just know that some Sioux fans would be pissed about it. But, again, so what? There are fans like that in every team's fan base, especially when their team loses and they need to find something to complain about that makes them feel better. So they latch on to some insignificant incident that "proves" the other team and its fans are inferior to theirs. All this reminds me of when UND beat BC at the 2000 Frozen Four. Some BC fans on USCHO started whining about the "classless" Sioux players putting their national championship caps on before going through the handshake line. What were they supposed to do with the caps that NCAA officials gave them immediately after the game ended? Put them in their purses?

He didn't do one on FSN, but he did meet with other members of the media and make post-game comments. To say that he was a "no show" who lacks class and fortitude is simply unfair criticism.

What are you talking about? I'm referring to the criticism of Lucia for supposedly not talking to the media after Saturday's game. He did come out an speak to the media, as the video on GPL proves. (As I pointed out in another thread, there was a series that Minnesota swept in Grand Forks after which Blais sent Hakstol out to deal with the media.) As for the reasons Lucia gave for Minnesota being swept, big deal. I've been listening to similar statements being made by Sioux coaches and players for most of this season. It's what happens after practically every athletic event because sports fans expect the coaches and players to say something to explain the victory or the loss.

That criticism of Lucia doesn't hold water.

Trouble is, there are already anti-nickname proponents who tell people that Sioux fans do the tomahawk chop when what they're really doing is the sieve cheer. Don't think that they won't hesitate to use the picture of Buning while claiming that he's doing the tomahawk chop, citing INCH as a source.

Context is everything. If you know at what point in Friday's game he posted it (Gophers leading 2-0), it's obvious what he meant.
