Good for him....and for you.
Fact is 95% of most fan bases are fabulous people (except maybe Wisconsin), unfortunately if you run into just that one "situation", it's the one that tends to stick you with you.
At the Final 5, there are 6 of us Gopher fans, with 2 sets of Sioux fans on either side of us, 4 Sioux fans & 2 UMD fans in front of us, and a group of CC guys in back of us. We have GREAT time together, and it's one of the reasons I enjoy the Final 5 so much.
The F5 is an awesome time because most of the fans just want to see good hockey so you never let the goofer fan who thinks the goofs are the greatest stop you from having a good time.

Nooooooo kidding? The reason I asked that is all of the Local Twin city TV News Shows stated that the Gophers would only play the Sioux in Men's and Women's hockey. It is pretty obvious that hockey is the only D-1 sport at UND at this time. However the Sioux football team may be able to beat the Gopher's football team.
Swimming and Diving usually goes down to the National Aquatic Center on the Campus of UMtc walks out after stunning the Big Ten swim teams.

This is why some Gopher fans think you people just look petty and pathetic. Your team is playing at your biggest rival and instead of supporting your team by wearing your teams jersey you would wear another teams jersey for the sole purpose of annoying Gopher fans. I can't believe there aren't more Sioux fans who see just how embarrassing that really is. You people are fans of one of the elite programs and you should be proud. I'm sorry, but going to your arch rivals building and choosing to wear the jersey of another team doesn't make you look very proud.
The whole goofer university pathetic call us petty lucia didnt vote for Panzer to win the hoby because he doesnt like UND. So give it to some freshmen.

When a penalty shot is awarded under Rules 2-5-h, i and 6-34-e (illegal
entry into the game), 6-10-f (in the last two minutes of regulation time
or anytime during overtime, displacing the goal post, goalkeeper
removing the helmet and/or face mask, or deliberately displacing the
goal to prevent the puck from entering the goal at any time) or 6-16-b
(defending player falling on, holding or gathering the puck into the
body or hands when the puck in within the goal crease), the captain of
the non-offending team shall designate any player who is not serving a
penalty at that time to take the penalty shot. Such selection shall be
reported to the referee and cannot be changed.

I agree with you about Oshie, but in fairness, he's been playing with a hand injury all year. Toews has also been banged up but, in my opinion, has been great all year. Zajac unfairly took criticism last year for not scoring. Stats are only part of the equation. One of my pet peeves is people who get hung up on stats. Look at all the little things that Toews does--he's great defensively, great in the corners and makes everyone around him better. Unfortunately, he's been keyed on all year, and deserves many more assists. He has set up so many opportunities that did not find the back of the net that it's almost unfair. If I have one criticism of Toews, it is that he does not shoot enough. He's a great player. There is not a better forward in the WCHA. Much like Zach Parise, enjoy him while you can because he is most likely gone after this year.
Exactly you dont have to score to be a force on the ice...look at this way Oshie finishes his checks and for the whole weekend wisco had two guys on him this weekend...no only if the defense would stop standing around

I hadn't heard of that company. It looks like you can subscribe using the email address "<your 10-digit number>@message.alltel.com". I can add that as one of the default choices, so you just have to enter your phone number, but for now you can do it using the email address.

This is a tragic loss. i never knew them, but the aviation community is a tight one, and this just hurts to know it happened.
for anyone wondering, in addition to the statement already made that they were not training, they also were not flying in a UND aircraft....it was a privately owned Cessna 172 (or 182, not sure). the university uses piper aircraft.

Cessna 172L I did my first solo in it it truely was a sad weekend for not just the local flying community but the entire university

I don't know if calling the Sioux defense "soft" was respectful or not, but I at least try to be objective.
You can only call it as you see it Saturdays game was a diffensive nightmare, we still can't stop the option and the UNO guys couldn't figure out how to make double coverage on all receivers work
