1st and goal at the 5 and they don't try Wanzek in the corner? How about Norberg? What did he do to all of a sudden not get a single carry?

Right? 12 yd/carry Norberg & all of our tall receivers have went missing these last 2-3 games. About time to start putting up lost/found flyers around Grand Forks.

So the last volleyball game of the year which could clinch the conference champion and the  home site for the post season tournament is at 11:00 ,  right before the football game at 1:00..    Not great scheduling.  It will definitely affect how many people are at the volleyball game.

I agree but I don't know what else they could do. Need to play on saturday and can't have the vb game after the foot ball game as there is hockey at night. At least it's an 11 and not a 12 start like on homecoming. We plan to go to the vb game and then head over to fb when it's over. Hoping for a win in 3 but fully expecting to miss the start of fb.

Happens at hockey too during designated standing times.

Reminds me of what happened last Friday at the hockey game. Everyone in the arena was standing until the 1st whistle blew. There were a couple of people sitting the row behind us who were absolutely losing their minds that we were standing and they made it known they were not going to stand whatsoever. All I could do was shake my head at all of the stupidity...

Rudolph goes back and forth on being a very good OC and a very poor OC. For long stretches he's overly conservative, lacks imagination, and becomes very easy to read. Then all of a sudden the playbook opens, the offense hums along looking unstoppable, and everyone wonders where that was the rest of the game.

    Yup. Very frustrating

We should jump Illinois St, McNeese, and UNI this week, up 3 spots.

And Harvard and Cal Poly on style points.......maybe 5 spots??

With all of the love UNI gets in the polls, it wouldn't shock me if they move up after a loss. Something about quality losses and whatnot...

Schlossman references the potential personal biases of those in the committee, and with that, I figure it is appropriate to point out the possible personal biases of Schlossman and his article, as well. Obviously, women's hockey is one of the two primary sports that Schlossman covers, and with that, it is hard to imagine he can objectively assess the viability of women's hockey at UND.

His bias is coming through loud and clear on twitter. Feels that attendance of womens hockey should be compared to the infancy days of women's basketball, which occured at least a solid half century ago give or take a few decades. Not sure I see the relevance of that and more importantly it shows that he isn't seeing the big picture.

Nobody should expect every sport of the university to make money because it won't happen and thats not what college athetics were ever designed to do. But I don't think it's too much to ask for them to not run multi-million dollar deficits, especially "minor" sports which aren't bringing in significant donations, advertising revenue, or enrollment gains to help offset those loses.

UND womens hockey has had games where they out drew the football team.

Curious as to when those games have occured. As far as I can see, the womens attendance record was set @ 5,835 in 2014 with $1 tickets against the gophers. Lowest (non playoff) home  football attendance in recent years that I came across was 5,916 in 2014 against Northern Arizona, which was an absolute embarrassment.

UND going to B1G for hockey would be bad IMO...look what it's done for Minnesota.  So you want to give up games against DU, St Cloud, and CC for Penn St, Ohio St, and Mich St?  Ugh...Also, playing on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 is not optimal for your program. :)

    Not in a million years.

  9. SUU wins. So this is good right?

Yes.  A UND win puts them 4th in line out of the Big Sky and we don't have to worry about winning a comparison with Northern Arizona.  Seems to me like it will be down between us, New Hampshire, and Towson for the last bid and IMO we have the more impressive resume with wins over PSU and an FBS win.

  10. With Portland State win,   if UND wins we are in.   I would  be shocked it that isn't the case.

Really want an SUU win as well.  I would think that UND should have the comparison over Northern Arizona if they happen to win but a couple of sites this week had them in vs UND.
