The Summit should be working with the Big Sky. Hopefully UNC is facilitating such discussions.  For now take on UNC and the two California football affiliates.

That gets the Big Sky down to 10 teams which makes scheduling easier for all sports and means only missing one team a season for football. It also puts Summit back to 10 schools for all sports and 8 for football.  It also leaves a stable core of former NCC schools  (plus Denver) should Western Illinois Fort Wayne and Oral Roberts depart.

If that happens then grab UMKC for an eight team league based along I29 plus the Colorado schools.  That would have a stable Summit and a stable Big Sky and the leagues could add a scheduling alliance to help fill nonconference games.

Best idea anyone has presented. Solves the complaints about the size of the big sky while also addressing summit football without moving entire mvfc to summit. Let the remaining mvfc teams fend for themselves.

Most of her posts in the past were terribly uninformed and lacking any sense, especially for someone who worked at UND. Nice that she's made them unreadable, as it saves me the frustration.

She was in a class with me early on @ UND. Was obvious back then that common sense wasn't very common with her.

It could be because of academics and when he got cut and wanted to re-enroll at Central he may not have taken enough classes in Bismarck to be eligible.  Just speculating.

I've heard around town that it is an eligibility issue, but I am not familiar enough to know if it's academic or something relating to his time in juniors. Whatever the issue is, going to EGF apparently solved it.

Agree - I think there are a lot going to NYC.  Too bad it is the same weekend!

That's the story with my seats. Haven't missed a game all year but the nyc trip was already booked.

Price per seat in past have been set by NCAA, same price exists for best and worst seat in the arena. Heard earlier in the week that pre-playoff bid only applies to hosting first round games, which we are not part off????

I believe every round has a minimum bid (which increases as the rounds progress) which must be met by the host team. However, the highest seeded team only needs to meet the minimum bid in order to host. This differs than round 1, where you not only need to meet the minimum bid but also outbid your opponent.

If UND receives a better seed than SDSU, then UND could play a better matchup in the quarterfinals if they reach it that far. A UND-NDSU matchup would be fun but it wouldn't be easy; let SDSU face NDSU in the quarters.

Seems unlikely either SDSU or UND jumps over the Citadel to #6. More intrigued by the top 2. If they stay EWU and NDSU, then we both will have tough games. If SHSU or Jacksonville are in top 2, then that shakes things up.

Wait... so the hockey reporter for the herald is talking about a hockey series this weekend?  Damn him!

Did you see Ryan Powell's Twitter last week when UND was clinching the Big Sky RS Championship in volleyball?  Not a single tweet!  How dare he!

His cheerleading for WH during the sports cutting discussion was embarrassing. If people really cared about seeing Olympians in action, they wouldn't need $1 tickets to draw them in.

Too bad that VB has to go up against the women's hockey annual gimmick of getting people in the door against biggest rival for $1. I think I have seen more mentions in both regular and social media of the WH game tonight than the VB game. They might have to even hire ticket takers tonight at the Ralph for the hockey game. :silly:

Following Schloss on twitter you would think WH is the only event happening this weekend.

Some of the area's volleyball fans could have been at the high school state volleyball tournament, which is also this weekend.

Your right. Red River was playing in Fargo. Could have cost us some fans there.

Only 727 attendance.  The women's hockey game against the Gophers going on at the same time probably won't help matters tonight.

Isn't that a drop of about 2 or 3 hundred from regular season? Is the fact that everyone had to buy tickets (no champions club freebies) that big of a deal? Or was there something else in town that diverted some of the regulars?

I am really wondering how big of a bid UND would put up.  Faison will most likely look at the attendance of this Saturdays game as a measuring stick for a playoff game.  Keep in mind that the first round is over Thanksgiving.  If we only get 8000 to a game where we could win a Big Sky title and the weather is going to be in the 50's, how many are we going to get on Thanksgiving Saturday when the weather is in the 30's or less.

I thought I read that bids were due earlier in the year. If true, Saturdays attendance shouldn't affect the bid amount.

He's not acting like he deserves a free education.  Go ahead and stay but pay your own way.

Well yes, that should come with being kicked off the team.

Go home Josh. You're not wanted on the team nor at the University.

Really? I agree he shouldn't be on the team anymore but to leave school over this? Wow

You could say NAU choked tonight's game at ISU, as well. Gotta give ISU some credit, taking down the league's two top teams.

They weren't up 2 sets to 0. ISU is a good team but that match was ours for the taking.

    Holy snikeys!!!!

Still comes down to the match on Thusday. The choke at ISU is looking worse by the day. Win that and you have a 2 game lead and a loss to NAU wouldn't affect the title. Now, it's a must win game.
