Anyone having problems with the internet radio or webcast. I keep getting the page cannot be displayed after I log into the fighting sioux page.
I'm listening onthe internet in Minnesota - no problems.

Hey North Fan, I felt that same way for the NDSU women's team when they lost their last ever game with UND.
Also, last time I checked the coach doesn't play the game. Why don't you go post on the NDSU smack site or better yet the NDSU Women's Basketball site - oh I guess it's been pretty quiet there for the last few years during the playoffs.

Was there some USD fans reaction to a "Hard Screen" right at the end? What was the deal at the end of the game with the Sioux walking off without shaking hands?

How many players will Bohl take when he leaves NDSU? According to the genuises on other sites Chappel isn't good enough to play the next division up. Why do some think that a strong program with great tradition lives and dies with one person?

All right so I'm not local but you get my point on any given weekend in the fall UND is selling more than 30,000 tickets to its sporting events

For the same reason that UND is still the primary subject of posts in their chat rooms and anti UND chants are still popular with their students - they can't move on because they have to put us down to make themselves feel good.

Before some pimple-faced, pizza delivering, cow milking, twenty-something Bi-Son swoop in with their negative posts about lack of support for Sioux sports let's look at the estimated numbers for this weekend:
Number of tickets sold for Friday night Hockey Game: 12,000
Number of tickets sold for Saturday afternoon football game: 10,000 plus
Number of tickets sold for Saturday nigth Hockey game: 12,000
Total number of tickets sold in support of Sioux Sports: 34,000

Anyone who states that UND would be clearly better is out of their mind. What would make you think this???
Is UND putting up offensive and defensive numbers that are clearly superior than that of the Bison? No.
Are they winning big games against teams that they are not supposed to beat? No.
Are they blowing away every team they play? No.
Do they have as many schollys as NDSU? No.
The combination of those three things should indicate that UND should not be better than NDSU. Given that NDSU is putting up similar offensive/defensive numbers as UND (but against better teams) should make NDSU at MINIMUM just as good as UND. Considering that we have many more schollys, logic would state that we should have MORE depth.
Does anyone have any logical reason why UND should be "just as good" or "better" as NDSU? Please try to take off the kelly green glasses when responding.....

Yes it's a free country and anyone can start any thread they want. But why feed into threads like this that just draw venom from the Bi-Son. Let's not encourage them to visit this site they have their own site complete with a permanent Smack thread for their sophmoric comments.
NDSU is no longer a rival of UND and good riddance. The football rivalry was lopsided in UNDs favor not only for the last 10 years but overall for the entire history of the rivalry.

I don't have time to read all the discussion in this posting but I hope someone has brought up that we don't care about the Bison or the gophers on this site. If you want to talk about the bi-son go to their site, they even have had to create a smack section for all their venom and hate.

Just let me know. I got a look at the inside yesterday and it's a true tailgating bus - 3 booths on one side that will seat 4 each with nice tables and beverage holders, 2 air conditioners, a full size fridge, microwave, sink with running water, working toilet, nice counter area, generator and two benches in the rear. I can send you picture just send me your email or call me.
He's got one looker but he said he would call me before selling. I'm just a Sioux tailgater who lives too far away to justify the investment (my wife's words not mine

Thanks for allowing the post. It's such a natural Sioux Tailgater I just felt compelled to let the word out. He's asking $5,000 but I know he will take less. If it wasn't so nice I wouldn't bother since it is not mine to sell.

Not sure if this is legal or not for this board but I just want to share that a guy in my little town in central Minnesota has put up for sale a 40 foot converted school bus that just happens to be Sioux green (with black trim). It's loaded with microwave, sink, 4 booths, AC, generator, bathroom. It would make a great ready-to-go Sioux Tailgating Machine. If I lived in GF I'd love it but the wife says it's hard to justify since I only make about 2-3 games a year. Contact me at 320-845-7789 if you want photos, details etc.

I say no it would not bother me. We own the trophy and we own the won/lost record and there is nothing that will ever change that.
For all the rhetoric we hear about the Bi-son moving on, many of them appear to be unable to do that they need to put the Sioux down in order to make themselves feel superior.
Message to Bi-Sons PLEASE mooooove on. You've got the rivalry with the Jackrabbits now so start monitoring their website and pestering them with your drival about tradition, etc. You've got more in common with them anyway they have cows on campus too.

How many could care less if UND ever plays NDSU again? Of course even if that came to pass the Bi-sons would still be chanting anti-Sioux chants just because they have no one else to hate and the only way they can feel good about their school/team is to put another one down.
I would not miss the Bi-son.

I agree. If this is a matter of making a choice, you're going to tick off a lot more people by failing to televise the football game than you would by failing to televise ONE home hockey game or series.
It's takes more than a day or two to arrange for crews, cameras, satelitte time, sell advertising etc. Don't blame WDAZ. I would buy into the theory that the NCAA dragged its feet intentionally so that WDAZ wouldn't be able to make it happen. I think the NCAA is going to cause UND a lot of pain in the future - which because they are an unregulated monopoly they can.

THis might qualify as a new thread but consider this:
What if UND officially dropped the Fighting Sioux as a nickname and replaced it with nothing. They could spin it as "Times have changed and we don't feel our University is best represented by any name other than NORTH DAKOTA".
The office team name would be "North Dakota" and we could have a cheer that says "We are North Dakota" - think how that would create a fuss in Bi-Sonville
Of course the fans could continue to use Sioux cheers, wear Sioux clothing etc and UND could say "we have no control over what our fans do"
I suppose that wouldn't carry any weight with the Engelstad Estate though and we would probably lose the Ralph and a ton of future money.

I make a comment about the lack of interest on Men's BBall.
UND9296 and UNDFan responded defending the lack of response as timing.
This thread has 14 respones .... 8 discuss changes/updates/additions to the Women's Basketball Team and -0- responses as in None, Nada, The Null Set, Nothing discuss changes/updates/additions to the Men's Basketball Team.
IMO this goes to re-inforce the point ... the interst in Men's Basketball at North Dakota hovers somewhere around ... Nothing
1. It's not even basketball season yet. 2. Farmers have more time on their hands than businessmen (one cheapshot should be expected) 3. For many fans it's a wait and see time of year 4. Chat sites like this aren't really mainstream yet.

lifelong Sioux fan here who also has had Gopher FB season tickets for 10 years, with the evil empire coming to the Metrodome on 10/21 I'm trying to track down some anti-NDSU apparel for me and my other Bison-hating bretren who will be at the game. I know since the Sioux haven't played them for so long that it might be tough to find. Anyone have any ideas? If not I might have to have something made up special, any ideas other than the old standbuys of "Buck the Fison" or "NDSUcks". Any help will be appreciated, I need something special to greet the many MOO U fans who will be making the trip for what hopefully will be a serious beat down by the Gophers.
I've always like the "If you want to work on a farm go to NDSU, if you want to own the farm go to UND" slam. That along with the Old MacDonald Tune really gets their goat - and they have plenty of goats down there.

Let it go we can still have a Fighting Sioux Club, we can still cheer for the Sioux. The NCAA is too powerful it will hurt us too much in scheduling and hosting to draw a line in the sand. Let it go officially and then we pick up the challenge of keeping it alive unofficially.
