  1. Some news on Tyrell Rosemeyer.
  2. Herald article on the signing class, and on the highs and lows of this year's recruiting.
  3. I just watched Mussman on the WDAZ sports, and he described Gillson as a "big, athletic kid who can run." He also mentioned that Watkins was a "supreme athlete" who could contribute next year. Also, Hendrickson will start off as a quarterback, and reminds him of Reed Manke.
  4. Campbell did sign with Mankato. It really makes a person wonder who else offered him?
  5. As far as I can tell, Rosemeyer hasn't signed or committed anywhere.
  6. If anyone had a chance to listen to this, would they give us a run-down of what Mussman said? (at least what was said beyond the usual signing day coach-speak ).
  7. No kidding. McGurran is the "runt" at 6'4", 265. And he'll probably put on 30 pounds or so in the next few years.
  8. Here's the list. Cameron sounds like a very good punter/kicker. Apparently Oregon State had considerable interest in him at one time. Overall, there weren't many surprises. Only Cameron, Gillson and Lynch hadn't been talked about before on this board. And there were no more de-commits.
  9. Regarding Andrew Anderson from Crookston, according to Frank Fee's column, the dI schools who had been showing some interest in him (possibly including UND?) evidently wanted him to walk-on. His only official visits were to SCSU and UMD. He's going to SCSU.
  10. One thing I wish the Herald would have done (assuming the coaches would allow it) is have a live blog as the LOI's roll in. The Sioux Falls Argus Leader is doing that, at least for Augie and SDSU.
  11. I'm expecting a lot of pretty weak opponents, and a lot of wins--probably something like this.
  12. Finally, some confirmation of the Benjamin commitment: link
  13. Not a lot of new info, but here's a Herald article on signing day.
  14. This article makes it sound likely Kelley will accept the job.
  15. As far as we know, the only definite offers to Wisconsin kids that were turned down were by Ewing and Cavil. So I tend to agree that many of the kids who UND was reportedly interested in were never actually offered. I suppose it's hard to say for certain, though.
  16. I can't help but be a bit suspicious of how Mankato is getting all these commitments while simultaneously trying to get down to 24 scholarships? Plus, they didn't even have a coach for most of recruiting season. One would think that players like Bauer and Campbell (and probably Lyght) would have had better options. Something doesn't quite add up.
  17. Until we actually see the full list of signees, it's of course premature to make any judgments. But from what we know (or strongly suspect), I think we have potential impact players in not only Sutton and Rosario, but also Heimler (third-ranked receiver prospect in WI per wissports.net); Wisthoff (possibly the top overall prospect in ND); Watkins (reportedly one of UND's highest-priority db prospects); Brennemann (very impressive at Kansas Jayhawk camp last summer); Benjamin (multiple all-state teams and one of the top linemen in MN); and Magstadt (top-25 prospect in MN per ESPN).
  18. I wouldn't worry about that. He hasn't been listed on that particular site at all at any point. I suspect it's more a matter of certain players only speaking with one of the recruiting sites, but not the other. In this case, we know Heimler has been covered regularly by wissports.net, and unless something new is posted there, I'm still pretty confident that his commitment is solid.
  19. UND has reportedly offered Port Washington (WI) safety Erik Mersereau. link
  20. Mitch Sutton article. link Don't worry, it's not bad news.
  21. Losing a kid to Southern Illinois and Dale Lennon is somewhat understandable. Losing a kid who decides he wants to stay close to home and probably play much earlier is somewhat understandable. Losing a kid to an FBS school is somewhat understandable. But losing a kid to SDSU when he previously chose us over them? That, to me, is not so understandable. That's just kind of strange.
  22. Sioux finally get their first NCC win over Augie. I suspect this was what the staff expected from O.J. Harrison all along (18 points).
  23. There were six to eight prospective recruits at the basketball game today. I have no idea as to who any of them were, however.
  24. I agree that it's premature to really judge Jones and staff. I guess what disappoints me is the fact that no immediate-impact scorers were brought in for this season. And while I certainly don't pretend to know the circumstances surrounding Mike Gutter's departure from the program (he's still apparently in school at UND), considering the complete lack of post scoring right now, I kind of wish he was still on the team.
