  1. No not excellent. I am 3 for 3 today and I am not having my national runner up lose in the first round. :)

I'm 3 for 3, too, and need MSU to win for a sweep tonite. It doesn't hurt me much if MSU does lose, but it benefits me a lot more if BU is eliminated in the first round...

  2. I like the thought of BSU in the WCHA. I've enjoyed the games they have played in recent years against UND. They are a hard working team that despite the disparity in talent, always plays hard against UND without resorting to goon style tactics to level the playing field (mankato). I'd go to games in Bemidji as often as I could if they played WCHA opponents. It's only a little longer drive to Bemidji then it is GF for me...

  3. ill be making the trip down to st cloud. ive grown up watching the huskies and now im a converted sioux fan, but to be honest the way both teams are playing right now, im gonna have to give st cloud a sweep. their overall play is just so much better than the siouxs. and the national hockey center is going to be PACKED for this weekend and extremely loud. but given the siouxs better than par away performances its going to be close. i still however have to give the sweep to st cloud, theyre just too hungry for that cup in my eyes..

We took it to the gophers in Minneapolis and swept them. Anything is possible in these two games. Hopefully our team goes down there and plays with the same fire they had when they swept MN. MN couldn't skate with us in 5 on 5 hockey that weekend...

  4. I think having Blais as the head coach of a Fargo USHL team might be what it takes to make this team get a loyal fan base. He will draw in a good number of Sioux fans to the games to check things out. If this team is successful soon, it will get even more fans...

  5. I was excited to see him come to North Dakota. He was what I thought ND could really use, an Dman that could generate some offense. My frustration with him comes more from the fact that he has only scored two goals so far this season. I'm not expecting him to be scoring goal after goal, but I do expect him to be putting the puck on the net from the point consistently and other players banging home the rebound. I swear the puck bounces over his stick more then anything and when he does control it, it's not a good shot. Then in the Sioux zone, he is not very physical, which he needs to be. Too often he let's the opposing team shoot when they are breaking into the zone. I think that has gotten better, but he can't be letting the other team shoot...

  6. Bina!

Fabian hasn't had enough of an impact this year to earn it. Bina has! Not only has he come back from a nearly career ending injury, he is having a big impact this year though with little hype that a bigger named player would get...

  7. Robbie Bina!!!

He didn't come to UND with the hype of many of the current players on the team or the players he has played with in the previous years but he is an impact player though quietly. He comes to play every night and always works his hardest. This year, that success is paying off in points, too. He can play forward or defense and I think that makes him a big asset. While he is not known as being an offensive D-man, he can make offensive plays that other D man do not make. To top it off, he is coming back from an injury that could very easily ended his career or even left him paralyzed! This guy has earned a lot of respect from me in a year that has been a tough one (and where other players that I liked a lot last year have lost a good amount of respect from me).

    Honorable mention:

    Taylor Chorney

    Ryan Duncan

  8. I'd love it in the Pens moved to Winnepeg! They are a young team with a destiny for greatness. Pittsburg is really going to be missing this team if they move! If they do move to Winnepeg, I'm getting season tickets! Unfortunately, I doubt they will move there... :whistling:

  9. Born in Crookston, MN then moved to GF where I went to high school. Moved back to Crookston for a few years then back to GF for a few more. Moved to TRF to go to NCTC. Graduated and got a job in GF though still live in TRF because GF has become too expensive to find housing...

  10. I like this series though I'm not going to be able to go to either game. I like the games against BSU because they are the underdogs but they don't play like it at all! BSU brings it when they play ND...
