  1. There's not a lot for seniors, but a fair number of juniors and plenty of sophmores. That sophmore class looks the best to me right now in terms of total D1 players.
  2. Cammarata is from Plymouth and is a goofer fan. That doesn't mean he can't go somewhere else, but he's just as predisposed as Fasching and Michaelson.
  3. I also think he'll leave for juniors next season, but I don't think trying out for his dad's team this summer is neccesarily proof of anything.
  4. I imagine the odds of him playing junior hockey next year are pretty good. Lincoln took him with their first round selection back in May, but that doesn't mean they can't trade his rights.
  5. According to spfreak on the previous page, Luke will be playing for Grand Forks Central this year. I only asked because I'm pretty sure that Steve is residing near St. Cloud full time, so I was curious to know if Luke was planning on transferring high schools in order to live with his dad. I don't know anything about the family so I don't want to speculate on anything regarding their living arrangements. However, I'd love to see Luke suit up for the St. Cloud Cathedral. St. Could Tech wouldn't be terrible, but not as good as SCC. Of course, I don't even know how long Johnson will be with the Huskies. It might not make sense for Luke to commit to SCSU or even transfer to a St. Cloud high school if Steve's not going to be at SCSU for the next seven years... which he probably won't.
  6. Your point may be entirely valid and I'm not going to argue that kids are very likely to choose a school other than where their dad coaches, but I'd like to point out that both Ben and Patrick Eaves committed to BC before Mike was hired at Wisconsin. Also, Gabe Guentzel wasn't offered the opportunity to play for Minnesota, even as a walk-on. As for Serratore... Frank and Tom are his uncles, his dad Tim never made it out of the NAHL. Yay! What I'd like to know is if he's going to transfer schools and move to central Minnesota or if he's going to remain in Grand Forks?
  7. Nah, he's going to follow in his more successful cousin's footsteps.
  8. Penticton is going to be really, really good. MacMillan and O'Donnell are obviously going to be solid. SCSU will have three foward recruits on the team... though none of them are considered awesome, they'll all be better than your average BCHL forward. I hope Harbison does SCSU a favor and keeps them all on the same line. FYI, Mark MacMillan's older brother Mitch is playing at SCSU this year after decommitting from Northeastern.
  9. "El Rocco, the Winterhawk$ would like to offer you $omething that the Sioux cannot."
  10. I believe Knochenmus's USHL rights are still owned by Sioux Falls. Hebel was just drafted by Waterloo. We may see both them play a year of juniors before either of them commits to a college.
  11. I would've thought you knew already. It's a fact.
  12. How about this? Toronto Prospects Tournament Rosters - three MN teams participating
  13. This site relies on user submitted information regarding prospects, and that means it could be unreliable, but this confirms what you all of you probably already knew about Rau... http://www.mnhockeyhub.com/page/show/11742...ion-i-prospects
  14. Blais was the first WCHA coach to call him. Many others have called him since. I think you might be on to something in regards to Mankato, they might be the only WCHA team with a full scholarship to offer for next season.
  15. I'm not going to do the research because I'm not sure this has ever happened, but I challenge you to name me one HEAD coach (besides John Hill) who left his alma mater for another head coaching opportunity.
  16. I'm guessing the other MacMillan on the team is his older brother. Mitch is committed to Northeastern, but I bet that's because he couldn't get on a better western team. I'll wager that Matt DOESN'T follow in his bro's footsteps and will commit somewhere west of Lake Ontario.
  17. Central Scouting final rankings is listing a kid who's probably getting looks from a number of WCHA schools... 135 MacMillan, Mark - F - Alberni Valley - BCHL This kid kind of came out of nowhere. I imagine his phone has been ringing off the hook lately!
  18. Motzko is an SCSU alum. He's not going anywhere.
  19. I just wish SCSU's program was good enough that a bluff commitment would be believable! A Frozen four appearance would go a long ways towards that. First Holy Cross, then RIT and SCSU in the same night! Satan might want to put on his tuque!
  20. I was being sarcastic... but it's a strong likelyhood. Ebert is rated by many as the #1 overall prospect in this summer's OHL draft. If he has a "commitment" by then, he'll probably still get drafted by London or Windsor (the teams with the most money to work with). If he doesn't have a commitment by then, he could very well get drafted #1 overall, because the worst team in the league will know that they can trade his rights to London or Windsor and get a pretty good value. Even if he is serious about his commitment and decides to play college hockey for a year or two, his value is high enough that one of the above two scenarios is still likely to occur. These are your likely scenarios, unless Ebert told all the OHL scouts there is absolutely NO WAY he'll ever play Major Junior... which he wouldn't do unless he's a complete idiot.
  21. I'm guessing Hakstol told him "If you're planning on using a commitment to the Sioux as leverage for the OHL draft, we'll have to send Frattin out to have a little talk with your family. And, once you get to the NHL, every former Sioux will be coming for you". So the good news is, Ebert won't be committing to then decommitting from the Sioux. The bad news is, you're not getting Ebert.
  22. I swear that Van Voorhis is a huge Sioux fan. Given that, I can't explain why he just committed to Denver.
  23. You guys suck. Ebert could be a contender for #1 overall draft pick in 2012. If I didn't despise the OHL so much, I'd pray for him to defect. Why couldn't he stay out east like kids from Jersey should?
