Dude, I'm not trying to be disrespectful, you claim to be a college student, but your posts are very hard to follow at times. Secondly, you seem to be a little naive as to how the world works. Please, don't take this the wrong way it's just constructive criticism. Thirdly, you almost seem a little jealous that someone might know something that you do not, therefore you get upset. I'm just trying to help you out here, so please, please don't get pissed at me. OK ?

people can give as much of an opinion as they want. people can say that the person them self told them so. but, hell, Staffy told me himself he wasnt leaving this year, and he did. makes me scared about toews, cause he told me the same thing. ya never know. i jsut think that the # of people who come in and say "oh this possibly credible source told me he will most likely be gone" is rediculous because it seems that is all everyone ever says until it is official. now, not sayin people cant, i know i said that in my last post, but.....it just seems like its all a lost cause putting up here say until it is official. i appreciate people who have actual, credible inside sources. and no, they dont have to say what their source is, but there are also people who come in with heresay from nowhere (work, or around campus for instance) and dont know what they are tlaking about. the only time I personally have said either way on a player leaving was regarding Stafford and Toews because i know them enough to have held conversations with them online and in class, and so far, i was wrong on Stafford, Toews has yet to be determined. This jsut goes to show that no matter how credible your source may be, things can happen that changes that. I'm not sayin stop posting opinions. Like some of you have said, its what makes this forum spark. But, i do think it was a little rediculous to start one thread about a topic already being argued over at length in another thread. Anyways, thats just my 2 cents.....sorry if i offended anyone. And btw buckysieve, i may only be a college student, but please, juvenile?

what he did before he came here has no bearing on how he plays here. take Jordy for example. if you would ahve told us when jordan came in that he would be as good as he is, we prolly woulda laughed. as long as LaPoint, and all the other freshmen, come in and do their job, and make an impact, thats all we can ask. as i said on another string....you cant expect everyone to be perfect.

ya, maybe ur right.....its all opinion based...i try to keep my mouth shut. i think he could be better, but then again, its not like he sucks. look at his #s...led the team in goals and points, and led the nation in shorties....but, there is always room for inprovement for everyone. you cant ahve a team full of perfect people.

so here we go....Commodore and MY CANES!!! vs. Parise and Hale and the Devils. gonna be a good series. i'd expect a game 7 in the end. Cam Ward is standing on his head lately. 8 goals in 133 shots after in effect replacing Gerber as starer for the Canes in net. His first 4 starts in the NHL postseason ever were all wins. And with Mark Recci and Doug Weight (acquired from Penguins and Blues respectively) just now gettign into their scoring routine with each other and the rest of the team, along with Staal, Brind'Amour, Cullen, and Williams all together on offense....Commodore has a great team to back up on defense. Don't get me wrong, with Gionta/Gomez/possibly Parise on the front line, the Devils have a solid first line, but i dont think she skill of all 4 lines can match the Canes loaded depth strength. ok, since i am totally off the topic here, lemme go back to Commodore. A great great defenseman, lots of poise and attention on the ice. And the red hair, ah, i cant wait to get back to good ole North Carolina and go to the RBC Center to watch the Canes again. It's been too long. I cant wait for next season already.

so, just wondering, but has parise been offered anythign by anyone at all? i must stick with the "still here until its official" stance and say that, until anyone affers anything, the thought doesnt cross his mind to leave. the guy is amazing, so there is no reson for him to go this offseason without being offered SOMETHING. but you also have to wonder....since he cant be drafted, and he hasnt been offered anythign yet in his last few years....dont you think maybe he has actually been putting forth some effort towards actually getting a degree on top of playing hockey? if that is the case, depending on how serious he is about it, with only one year left, he could possibly stay, play for us one last year (and hopefully get that #8), graduate, and then play in the AHL/NHL or whatever other league, after graduating. thats just my thought. what do you guys think?

oh dont worry im not taking that in a bad way. i know what you mean. and no, im neither famioly, or very very very close friends. but, he kidded around about goin to the OHL or WHL and got me thinkin he was seriously leavin us to go do that. then he said he was just playin with me and he was not gonna leave at all. so, hopefully those words stay true. as i have already seen, drews words last fall didnt stay true.

i know toews personally and talk to him often...he isnt leaving. i know things change, but last time we talked (monday night) he said he needs more time in the weight room and to improve on some little things before he makes the jump. basically, he told me there was no way he was leaving. just an fyi

GO CAROLINA!! its gonna be hard, but being from NC i am gonn ahave to pull for the Canes a little more. I have become a bit of a Devils fan as of late, because of what seems like a pipeline from UND to NJ. but, its gonna be a good series.

yeah i hope he does. it would have been great to have had him around one more season. but, thats what happens i guess. i hope the same thing doesnt happen to staffy, that being that he underperforms his first year. i really hope he is up to the task of being a great presence in the sabres lineup.
