Jordy played last friday and lost. he played last night and won. so i dont know where you are gettin your info from, but he is playing.
-
Thats really good to hear. It would be great to see him out there on a regular basis. Don't get me wrong, i wasnt saying i dont want him playing at the NHL level, i was merely stating that i personally dont believe it will be a career-long thing, but that the AHL will be instead. Hopefully, he proves me wrong. GO CHRIS!!

Ok, I may be starting this discussion a little too early, but i was in a conversation with a goalie buddy of mine today about people going to the Blackhawks and Porter's name came up. I guess im curious as to what you all think he will do in the future? He is obivously not the MOST productive forward on the team, but he definitely has some potential, and we know he is a good leader. Personally, i think he will be an up-and-downer for a while, then end up as a career AHLer. I think he has the qualities to keep him in a role like Curtis Murphy. And that is not at ALL to say he has a lack of talent. Some players are just better suited at slightly lower levels of play and to have a leadership role in a slightly lower level of play as opposed to just another player at a higher level is more than some could ask for......so....whats everyone else's opinions?

everyone, keep one thing in mind.....more often than not a player can go to a team being very skilled and not give much production wise because of the people he is playing with and their chemistry. im sure if parise was on some other team he could be in just the same situation as Bo. maybe Bo will mix really well in the Boston lineup. lets hope so, for the sake of his NHL career

oh yeah trust me. Laviolette HATES his players to fight. i believe there have only been 2 REAL fights in their games so far this season, and about 2 or 3 instances where a Canes player ALMOST fought someone, but backed himself off. im sure Commy wanted to kick the crap outta some people this season, but hasnt. Commy is known for ALOT of PIMS, so to have only 85 right now is interesting.
-
matt already has as many PIMS as Commodore does :-D Commy has been very conservative with his PIMS, as he only has 4 in his last 10 games. Matt, on the other hand, is racking up fighting mins left and right hah

cause i had originally said i wasnt gonna be able to post former players stats every night cause i was in atlanta for this tourney. i was just giving people info on what i was up to down there.....anyways, back to former players.....
-
naw, didnt have the money on me. but i got a pic of the jersey. i'll post it, and the one of me and Hartley, as soon as i get them form my buddie's camera.
-
Wow, so a few notes on this tourney i'm at: -Bob Hartley's (coach of the Thrashers) son was the goalie in the team that trounced us tonight 8-0. -I got to meet him (GO CANES still) -This tourney is in Alpharetta, GA, which some of you may know is where Brad Miller is from. In the shop at the rink they had 2 Sioux jerseys for sale (for $80 a piece) AND one signed by Brad that says "thanks to the cooler for everything over the years" (the Coller is the name of the rink.) It's been an interesting trip so far. The boys have to play at 8:30 am now. If they lose, they are out and we have the rest of the day to explore Atlanta. I thnk some of us may head to Phillips Arena for the game tomorrow night. GO SIOUX!!!
-
Glad to hear the boys withthe Devils had such a great night last night. I wasnt able to follow the gamesd last night as i was on a charter bus on my way down to Atlanta for the ACHA South Region Tournament (college club hockey). Gonna be a great, long weekend full of dirty hockey hah. Great part is, i brought all of my Sioux shirts and hats just for my buddy on the team who is from MN and a big Gophers fan. Now i have reason to wear all that stuff for him

gotta love the HC references..... Manchester Northeast Regional "4. Sacred Heart No biggie for this year's Atlantic Hockey rep. Just replicate what Holy Cross did last year. " Grand Rapids Midwest Regional: "4. Niagara: Does anyone remember how the last purple-clad 4 seed did in the NCAA Tournament? "

it's not a question of having beef with you. i have none. by calling you a troll, i jumped to conclusions. sorry about that. i hate trolls. jsut like anyone. and sometimes people say things the wrong way that makes others view them as such, as was the case here. i apologize for that. but on the other hand, im sure you understand that, considering your avatar and team of choice, and after the games last weekend, it was pretty easy to assume you were being sarcastic and acting in the guise of a troll. again, im sorry, and i take back the things i said. thanks for being supportive....or, as supportive as a gopher fan can be of a Sioux team haha.
