  1. Just as people like to point out that there are players and players' families that read this board when the players are getting bashed/insulted, maybe it needs to be pointed out that the cheerleaders and their families also could very likely be reading the messages you type.
  2. The Sioux could get another home game if UND upsets GVSU and CWU (or Ashland) upset UNO. That would put UND at home in two weeks.
  3. You're right, they did. But were you here last week reporting the same thing when Ohio State lost to the Illini? They also had a perfect season and were #1 in D1 FBS. The Bison don't play in our division this year and their record, and their football team, don't affect us at all. We wouldn't like it if they were on their board during the UNO/UND game reporting the Sioux score and cheering when we were scored on, and when we lost. Maybe they were, but we don't have to stoop down to their level. It's just not necessary. EDIT: I guess the radio guys think it's important, too. Maybe i'm in the minority.
  4. Let's not be jerks. You could have at least reported the positive rather than the negative. Jackrabbits win!
  5. 27-2 Sioux Chappell with ankle injury - out Murry with shoulder injury - out Brady - he's been out for a few weeks Battle is our current running back.
  6. TOUCHDOWN!!!
  7. Sounds like they're going to have to rest him pretty often for the rest of the game.
  8. Back to the game: Chappell out again. Battle in at running back.
  9. Either 720p or 1080i, yes.
  10. Nobody broadcasts 1080p because (I believe) the bandwidth of the signal is too great, so the DVR doesn't have to support it. The only 1080p you'll find is directly off of HD-DVD or BluRay.
  11. Sounds like these MIAA refs don't like UND.
  12. I completely agree. This would definitely be the way to go. Who knows, we might have other groups begging us to choose their name once we officially drop the Fighting Sioux nickname.
  13. This scene is actually: "Dear diary, jackpot!"
  14. It's not by my bed stand, but the pdf file of the rule book is on my computer. It's at home, though, so I was just going by memory since I'm at work right now. Turns out I was right.
  15. Fact is, you're required to dress two goalies to play the game. If you don't, you must forfeit (I'm pretty sure that's the rule). And to play in a game, you have to be a student with NCAA eligibility remaining. So that would mean if we only had JPL and Walski, and one of them got hurt, they would still both have to dress and risk having to play hurt. I think we'd be better off having a student as a third/practice goalie who could at least fill the net during a game if they had to. It would be rough on the defense, but it would keep us from having to forfeit the game. All that being said, I very much doubt Hakstol would pick up another goalie would wouldn't be eligible to play in a game if necessary.
  16. Pretty doubtful that Belfour was enrolled for that week when he was on campus.
  17. Truer words have never been spoken.....or typed.
  18. And this scuffle (not gonna call it a fight since no gloves were dropped) wasn't even close to what happend at The Ralph last year against Mankato. Why does this one get so much more attention? Because of the coaches after the game? Because all 10 players were given misconducts? Because Turris was involved?
  19. How do we know he didn't walk by, tap him on the leg with his stick and say "good game"? We don't know. Simple as that.
  20. Chorney - 2 for roughing Vande Velde - 4 for roughing Two badgers each 2 for roughing.
  21. I think they tend to not tighten them down very much for this exact reason.
  22. I think all WCHA arenas do.
  23. TH argued that he didn't take any strides into him, just glided. So that means no boarding. Though the rule book doesn't say anything about needing to to take strides for boarding to be called. Boarding SECTION 3. A player shall not body check, cross-check, elbow, charge or trip an opponent from the front or side in such a manner that causes the opponent to be thrown violently into the boards
  24. Should it have been called? TH: "You gotta let them check in this league!"
  25. Woog and Mazako said that he was likely told to stop even trying to move as soon as the paramedics got there. They're taking him off the ice right now.
