Natural light.
I have been saying it for years. Put massive windows in above the cat walk similar to how Lucas Oil Stadium looks with the roof closed.

I have 4 guys left. Definitely should have picked Tampa instead of Toronto.

Who all is working out?

Anyone been to the Canad lately? Have the restaurants/bar improved?
Also, we ate at the Spud Jr. in East Side last time I was in Grand Forks, it was excellent.

UND coverage out west is abysmal. NDSU is everywhere and generally gets the big radio stations in Bismarck. UND isn't even on the radio in Minot.

Overall, for the size of the building, I thought it was a great experience. Granted my location was what helped make it great, even if we were somewhere else in the building, I don't think there's a bad seat in there. We had 2 seats on a bar rail, with two seats directly in front, both sets on an aisle, right by the bathrooms, just across a corner from the beer stand. Worked great.
It could be different if the game was completely full, but was enjoyable. Those bar rails at the top of each section are a game changer in my book. Would love seats like that every game. Option to stand with no complaints from behind and still good viewing if you sit, with the added small table top for beer or food. Great compliment and wish more arenas had those.
Pepsi Rink in Minot has bar stools on the rail all the way around the top of it; pretty nice set up.

Northside Cafe by the Ralph - a review
My wife and I ate there last night for supper and it was decent. Weird to walk in there so many years after it was Suite 49 - bar side still looks the same. Family dining area was where they had the golf simulators so it's just a plain, undecorated wall and tables but they're doing a huge lunch biz so who cares about decor. Supper crowd was light - about 4 other tables aside from us but only 1 waitress working late apparently so be prepared to wait a bit.
Wife had a burger and fries - I had a Philly and waffle fries. I go back and forth with waffle fries. Like the concept but they can be really thick and under cooked - these were thin and very good! Crispy, fresh and hot out of the fryer. Delicious without the cover of ketchup and with me that's a good thing. The sandwich was also hot, thick and generous with juicy meat and melted cheese. Wife commented also the food came right out of the kitchen hot and ready. Food rating for a couple of sandwiches with fried potatoes? A - very good - what you'd expect from an old school cafe. More on that....NOW!
The signage calls it "Northside - A Grand CIties Cafe!" Hints at an UPSCALE attitude being by the Ralph:-) This is just a cosmetic sham. The menus are new and include a hip "barnwood" look but the food is entirely old school cafe. The special the night we walked in was Meatloaf and there are plenty of Hot Meat and Mashed Potato options with gravy. Menu was wide ranging but the base food looks solid so it's like Darcy's with SEATING CAPACITY meets the neighborhood's most eligible bachelor Ralph - the big wheel on the block! Nice to have a restaurant back in that space imo!
Hopefully they will extend hours for the hockey crowds on weekends but if they don't - no big deal. They'll make $$$ renting out the parking lot on hockey nights and not have to pay for more than a couple parking attendants. We live on the north end and support north end businesses so we'll be back - hope others will give it a shot too!
Glad to hear the food was good. I am going to miss the old place though.

Wentz and the Colts got it done in San Fran last night. Lot of family and friends there for Carson. He got away with a few balls that would of been picked in normal conditions but last night was anything but normal. Just to bad Lance didn’t play. That would of been pretty damn cool
I don't think I have ever seen a game with the rain coming down that hard.

The Seattle jerseys look nice. It will be interesting to see how they develop over time. It seems like most the recent expansion teams in the NHL have changed a lot since their inaugural seasons.

I wish UND had the growth mindset and was making a push to be the #1 university in the state in all metrics- all sports, academics, enrollment, popularity, programs, etc.

Some love for the Big Sky from ESPN.

It seems like if the place was always sold out it would make sense to monetize the catwalks. But even if that was the case, this is a poor effort. The black curtains look terrible in the photo.

I’m not sure on this but I’ve heard Minot is getting another high school. If so the West will become even more weaker as far as sports go
There is a bond referendum coming up for it.

There were 14 goals in game 1. If the series goes:
It will be interesting to see if either team can find some goal tending and/or defense.
