I called the Sioux Sports Shop at the Ralph around noon on Friday to ask them if you could preorder the jerseys.
The lady on the phone said you couldn't so I asked her how they planned on selling them.
She said they were going to do it 'first come first serve'
She told me they had had dozens of calls that day about the same thing.
I offered her the suggestion that she tell the manager to call a team meeting to discuss how they were going to handle the whole thing.
She told me they already had done that.
Sounds like maybe the plan wasn't so good huh?
1st come 1st serve?

They were white jerseys with the new logo on them and 29 on the back. They sold out in about 4 minutes!
4 minutes is stretching it. They were gone within about 1 minute! An unorganized mess.

WOULD SOMEONE CONSIDER PICKING ME UP ONE OF THE BELFOUR JERSEYS TONIGHT? They are $199 and being sold right after pre-skate warmups, and there are only a few. Let me know if you are interested, there will be a nice tip involved.

Not sure what the point is of being there early (one of the first 5 in line) and have others come in and pust their way into the front. They then had 3 security guards come with the 22 jerseys....well you can about imagine the rest of the story.
I did hear (from a reliable source that they thought the 22 jerseys wouldn't sell. I quickly let him know that they could have sold 100 more than that.
Very disappointed to say the least.

Belfour has been a longtime fav of mine. My brother used to play PeeWee and Bantam hockey against him back in the day. That was when the players from the opposing teams stayed at host teams homes.

If all goes well, I am looking at the Minnesota-Duluth/UC-Davis weekend. I checked the website and the America looks fine--$80 per night. In New Jersey,it would cost more than that to house a cat or dog!!!--By the way,Siouxmenow, sorry about calling you Elaine. It could be worse--I called her Mike! I expect the UND band will be at the airport along with Coach Hakstol and the FSSN TV crew. Maybe you can even get Phil Jackson to show up. Maybe Widmans can make special "R" chocolates and if I go to the Italian Moon or Whitey's they can play "Born To Run" when I walk in?
When you find a room, please let us know if you want the hotel staff to remove the yellow M&M's from the dish, or if only Fiji bottled water will do. Maybe only a black rental car? Would a limo work better?
If you are making the trip to ND, we want it to be the BEST experience for you! Anyway, hope you are able to make the journey out here. Would love to finally meet you in person.

I did get an email back, and was told they DO NOT have a base on them. Something would have to be built.

Does anyone know if these have a "base" to them? If I were to add them to the deck at the lake, would we have to make some sort of a base? If I remember correctly, the seats of these were bolted directly to the cement risers/bench. Right?

Obviously I was wrong in my prediction of how the Bruins/Flyers series was going to go, but maybe this article helps explain my point on Philly's fans. I do understand that not ALL Philly fans may be like this, but I do think there's something in the water (or whatever they're drinking) in Philadelphia.
