  1. Ya know... you can catch more bees with honey than with vinegar.

Was this your first ever interaction with that neighbor? I hope not, because you know what they say about first impressions.

I can answer that for Sioux-cia.

This isn't the first interaction she's had with her neighbor. She's lived there for many years, and has put up with lots of crap.

  2. apparently UND is closed...according to another thread in the community forum.

All the GF schools are closed too. We are closed in Thompson, and many other small towns in the area have closed as well. So far, Thompson has made up 2 storm days, and it looks like this will be another. What happened to the days when they built in 3 storm days into the school calendar?

  3. Unfortunately I probably won't know for sure until Sat morning. We are staying in downtown Minneapolis Friday night, and I know I will have to take the light rail at least once to the MOA, hopefully Friday afternoon. Is there any shuttle/bus service from the MOA to DT St. Paul?

Bob, we are at the Homewood Suites by Hilton - Mall of America on Killebrew Drive. There is a bus of some sort that goes from there to the X about every 30 minutes. Last bus is at 10:30 pm. I am going to call the hotel tomorrow to confirm the schedule and pick up places.

I'll post it here, in case there are any other MOA people.

  4. I'm not a for sure yet.

I have to see what kind of plans there are for kids that morning. Of course Mr. Siouxmama is capable of taking the crew to the MOA, but unless it's Gander Mountain, Scheels, or Bass Pro Shops, he doesn't come within 100 yards of a shopping center.

  5. I'll be there section 119 row 21 in a vintage Sioux jersey supplied by one AZSioux! I know I owe MikeJM a beer from last year and I certainly hope to see SIouxmama and clan as well as Bob from Wisconsin again. We had fun last year, no?

    FIRED UP!

I did move across to section 104 row 4, but I will be over to see you, at least once.;):D

  6. I was looking at the media guide, and this years senior class holds the #2 spot for most games played by a freshman.

    Ryan Duncan

    Zach Jones

    Andrew Kozek

    Matt Watkins

46 games in the 2005-06 season.

They share this with Brent Bobyck (86-87) and Gord Sherven (81-82).

1st place is Russ Parent (86-87) with 47.

  7. i think last night was 172 so tonight should be 173

    thanks AZ.

So, he has the potential to play a total of 179 games?

    Win tonight for 173

F5 Sat and sun for 175

2 more in the regionals for 177

and 2 more in the NCAA for 179

    WOW!! GO RYAN!

  8. We've been to the F5 the past 5 years and have never been locked out of the skyway.

We were one year. We were in the skyway and one of the many doorways/turns was locked. I think we ended up going outside to finish our journey. Good thing it wasn't cold.

  9. Parise with his 39th during a cluster**** in front of Kipper.

He's gotta pick up the pace 'cause Vanek is back. :whistling:

That picture of Greener reminds me of some gunshot wounds I saw working in the MGH ER.

That's what I told my husband when I was describing what it looked like.

  10. Classes after 3:30 have been cancelled.

Wonder took them so long to figure this out.

I was wondering why Thompson schools didnt cancel till this morning either. Every school around us was cancelling for today last night already.

EDIT: Not so much a bad day at home with the kids. One fight, and so far since then it's been good.

  11. YaneA and Siouxmama said that while they're in the big city, they'd like me to show them around. I told them they could meet some "gentlemen" in Inver Grove Heights so they're pretty excited about going to this King of Diamonds place.

    :whistling:

  12. SportsDoc,

Great post. I wish everyone that chews would read that and quit. I know a guy that chewed since high school, and got mouth cancer. He eventually died. He was young, married and with 2 teen children. Soon after that, my brother, who had also chewed since high school, asked me what I wanted for my birthday. I asked him to quit chewing, and finally after numerous tries through the years, he did. On my birthday, cold turkey. It's been 2.5 years, and he still hasn't had another chew.
