Poganski is really playing big.
Surely you didn't think the team would never have off nights. The Circus had lost 6 games at this point in the schedule in 1987. The boys had a soft 1/2 schedule and have a long way to go, but they have been extremely consistent
Only dropped one in the pairwise. Lucky: you probably drop that much just by playing CC.
Though it is pretty obvious they are not the same team we played last fall. SCSU can attest to that.
Boy, when you look at our lineup to see how they we will fill injury holes and you see those 6 Dmen, you realize how loaded we are on the blue line. I don't remember a 6-man crew this good. Maybe better 2 or 3, but not the whole crew, IMO.
Not only that. One of the things we know we need is more scoring from other lines. If Caggiula and Schmaltz are out, others will have to deliver for them to win. What better time could that happen than early in the second half with 4 home games against bottom tier opponents? We know any team can beat any other team on any given night (and CC seems to be playing a much better game after a disastrous start), but still . . . if you were to pick a time for this to happen, this isn't bad.
Seems like it should be quicker for hockey players, since they don't have to raise their arms above their shoulders very often and can strap that arm down a little closer.
That is an uneducated, unqualified observation, needless to say.
Speaking of Deano, did they retire that green blazer of his or did it end up at a garage sale somewhere?
And does he have an (whatever color it is) equivalent at UNO?
