This feels like one of the most important weekends of the season.
I think they all tend to feel that way down the stretch. Gonna be interesting for sure. CC really wants to turn the corner with this series.

Two top NCHC COY candidates going at it this weekend. Be nice to see Brad get a little separation.

Just don't crank it pass "moon"
At the same time, don’t dial down to the lowest of the low, Mariucci.

Wonder how much time the boys spent in the altitude machine? I think Colorado College is a bit higher even than DU.
Surely it just has an altitude dial.

That would be one way to break through the 1-4 defensive scheme CC used on us last time
Like a hot Sioux knife through butter.

I gotta finally say it: it's about time they return to old school Sioux hockey. As soon as the puck drops, start hitting people. Hit the forwards; hit their goalie; if they lean over the boards, hit their coaches. Hell, hit their cheerleaders if they are manly enough to have them. And if they can do all that and stay out of the box, they sweep, Simple--just like back in the day.
If it were me, I'd have every Sioux player wearing a rubber Mike Prpich mask. Mess with 'em, then mess 'em up.

Today's Bpot games should be interesting. Hopefully.

I think when he's playing disciplined hockey, he's very affective and creates space for his linemates.
And like a bunch of his teammates, the guy can shoot. Not on a level with Gaber, Mac, or Blake, but pretty exceptional. More shooters than we’ve had in a long time.

It amazes me how SCSU is on the border of getting into the NCAAs yet they played so well against us. Like I know how the pairwise works and how they had rough start to season but still it’s wild to think the second best team in the NCHC may need to win the conference tourney to get in
Denver is the second best team in the NCHC, current records aside.
The NCHC is good, but there are stronger conferences this year.

It would be fun (and, yes, quite a bit of work) if someone could identify these commits by the former Sioux player that most reminds them of. Some of us have never seen them play or even watched the league they play in, so other than stats and draft status, cannot visualize their play, Occasional vids are nice.
Some of us fans are so needy . . .

Michigan a bubble team now? With all that talent?

We all probably feel that, but another angle is important, IMO. Regardless how many of those boxes end up being checked, Sioux fans have already been treated to a lot of extremely well played hockey. We are fans because we love the game, and we have already been rewarded with a lot of pleasure. There is more to come, but falling one or more boxes short of all of them doesn't change the pleasure that comes from watching this team play.

1. Heat of the battle. 2. Bees in their bonnets. 3. Thorns in their side.
News flash: they are human, not bots.
Yup. And the beauty of that rationale is that it applies to every possible transgression, intentional or otherwise.

Wonder how different things would be if DU and UND had traded goalies in October.
-
I think they miss a little of Hunter's physical, vertical play.

What is it with UMD? Was this expected?

That was a hella tip by Miami that hit the post.

Isn't this the game plan of every team that plays hockey?
It is, and that's why it's often not effective against teams with superior speed, skills, and experience.
