Forney had a pretty serious shoulder injury last spring that would have taken a lot of time to heal. We don't know how that might have affected his ability to prepare for this year, or how it may have affected his play this year. Maybe we're seeing some of that.

I'm glad to hear it's just a minor on premises. I'm anxious to hear how the Bina angle works out, but based on what PCM said earlier, looks like there's a chance there's not much to that either. Not really a surprise since the early word today was that they were still deciding if they were going to charge him. Hopefully the rest of this works its way out in the next couple of days so the guys can get it behind them, and they can recover from the puking herbies that Hak puts them through before Mankato.

I understand your point but I don't know if the seriousness of this offense warrants a suspension. I guess none of us know the underlying dynamics, but when Parise got his minor on premises I don't believe he was suspended. And I would believe there are plenty of athletes of the Sioux or Gopher or Pioneer or even SCSU programs who get minor consumptions and no one ever hears about them. In that respect if consistency means this is handled "in private" that's fine with me.

Let's wait and find out exactly what Robbie did before we say that? From what I have read on this thread he hasn't even been cited yet. If that's the case it seems to me that they don't even know if he did anything serious enough to warrant a citation, which would indicate whatever he did wasn't very serious. Let's see if we find anything out before jumping to conclusions.

Like Sioux Hab_it said, "apples and oranges". I know the gopher spinsters try to make the Blarney's thing into an "underage drinking" issue, it was really about free stuff and favors being traded. It's quite a different situation if you look under the surface.

I agree with a lot of what you say, but if the 2 most high profile players are busted by the cops it is news. Don't blame WDAZ. And we don't know if anyone "ratted" them out, do we?

Hopefully there's no more to the story than we already know. If so, it's a relatively minor situation, no pun intended. The players need to be smarter about their behavior. One thing the team and these individual players don't really need right now is this sort of avoidable distraction.

It will be interesting to see how this fleshes out. This says they were cited with being "minors in a bar", same thing that happened to Parise.

Not good, boys. You should be smarter than that. However, this IS different than Blarneys, at least from what we know so far. As has been pointed out, the Blarney's thing was about free cover, free drinks, free tickets, entertaining recruits, etc. It wasn't just underage drinking like some spinsters try to make it. If it was just underage drinking, I doubt very many people would have paid much attention to it. I guess we'll see if there are any of these types of details to come out of this escapade.

You are correct! I just watched the tape. We can complain about Campion but he missed that one. It's actually pretty funny watching Miller standing right in front of Campion and putting the blade of his stick over the puck like a little kid trying to hide the cookie he just stole, and then bending over and talking to Lammy while everybody else is battling away. In Campion's defense, there was a bit of stuff going on and from his angle it was probably impossible to see that the puck had slipped in that small space. It was hidden by the trim at the bottom of the net.

I remember when I watched that for the first time I thought what a great pass that was. So many guys just wrap it around the boards.
