  1. Exactly. Anyone that blames Lee for that last goal should pull their head out...the guy was layed out and made a lucky shot...good for them, bad for us...

No I was thinking of earlier during the game where wheeler also beat him wide, the overtime goal was a fluke. But it happened multiple times, and anyone that didn't see that happen needs to pull their head out.

  2. St. Cloud ties it. Defensive collapse there. Let's go Sioux. Haven't really shown in the 2nd frame yet.

Who was out there I flipped channels for a minute and missed it.

    Goal Vandy.

  3. Not sure if it was mentioned earlier, but INCH reporter just said that Raymond and Niskanen both signed pro contracts today and left MN an hour after that.

No surprise with Niskenan, very talented probably the top defenseman in the country this year. Should have a smooth transition to the NHL game.

  4. With all of the hoopla going on at the football boards both here and at Bisonville, I wonder why there is not more discussion about first renewing the rivalry with NDSU in basketball instead of football. This would make more sense to me, as far as easing back into the games between the schools for all sports. Obviously, there are alot more basketball games to schedule than football games. Besides NDSU's game with Kansas St. this year, both programs are currently hurting for intriguing home games. The last Sioux-Bison game in GF drew nearly 8,000 and the last one in Fargo drew upwards of 6,000. NDSU's big "rivalry" game with SDSU in Fargo this year only mustered ~4,000. That "big meanie" Rich Glas is gone, so NDSU can't complain about him anymore, as is Roger Thomas. This summer when PA and Dubay asked Tim Miles about UND moving to DI his answer was "bring em on!". We all know about the attendance struggles that NDSU women's basketball has been suffering. So with an open-minded Tim Miles, A.D. Tom Buning, and a new coach in Brian Jones, why not send UND basketball teams to Fargo in 2007 (while they are still looking for non-conference games) and hopefully have them return the favor in 2008 when UND will really need games?

Well men's basketball would be an absolute massacre, and if you think otherwise youre a moron.

  5. Are you kidding me? One year that had to open up the balcony cuz there was so many people

It all depends on whose in it

Grafton usually brings the whole town so if they are in, u get a big crowd, RR and central usually bring most of GF if they play each other.

Actually this is far from the case. These finals tend to draw very average crowds.

  6. Well, since you asked....

I'm saying if Grieco is healthy, let him back up Lammy. If poopski wants to say Grieco stinks or is heading toward a bust I'll just remind him about the fact that Grieco was the last goaltender to outplay Goephert in 2006 and that, because we've seen what his potential was, I'll remind poopski that if he wants to know what I think of his opinion of Grieco is, all he needs to look at is the first four letters of his handle.

Grieco played like a freshman. In fact, he played no worse than Weslosky and Stalock. Stalock got no help offensively and had bad team defense in front of him (similar to Grieco vs. UAA) and Weslosky simply played no real contenders except a hype-inflated Clarkson team. Trust me, UAA could beat Clarkson the way they played the Gophers. And I know some of the goals Grieco let in vs. UAA were weak, but they were freshman type mistakes. Obviously, some of us expected the second coming of Goehring. Well, Grieco is 6 inches taller than Goehring and he's Anthony not Karl. Stop turning his development into a cliff from a ramp. It's not a "you either dominate or you suck" type scenario here.

I don't know when Grieco got injured or how, but a knee injury on a goaltender is very worrisome. Thankfully fans don't make the decisions because if they did, Grieco would never play because everyone here has already forgotten how well he played against SCSU and, like Lee, won't give him the benefit of the doubt.

So yeah, Grieco doesn't suck. I don't feel uncomfortable when he's on the ice. He's just a freshman, barely 18 years old.

Phil is still the man in net and it doesn't matter how good Grieco is. All Anthony can do now is wait for next year and play his ass off in practice.

Thank you, thats all I needed.

  7. no way in hell grieco is ready to go. we need lammy to stay healthy and stay in nets or i wont even travel down to the cities. im not saying greico doesnt have potential, but this year he was terrible when he filled in for phil. the only wins he got were purely luck. the guy just has no composure yet whatsoever and i dont see him standing a chance under pressure like whats to come...

    just my two cents tho

I said this same thing only less harsh, about 2.5 months ago and got torn apart?? I'm curious as to where redwing and goon are now?

  8. I WASN'T DREAMING, BABY! AA JUST BEAT THE GOPHERS IN OT!!

CAN YOU FEEL THAT MISTER!!!!!!! *humps the air Ace Ventura style*

Good call, the gophs really had their hands full in that first game.

You can talk if tommorows game is within 5.
