  2. Funny Danny and Ryan played against Travis and Drew in college. I think Danny and Ryan had the upper hand. If you take Drew stafford over either of them youre a complete moron. Travis was one of the best player the sioux have had but he wasn't the player those two were.
  3. I think some NHL scouts might disagree with you. There was a rumor of the blue-jackets looking at a defenseman from South last season. In recent seasons many ND players have gotten to the Next Level "Junior A or D1". I'm not sure who from Central you were talking about, no one on that team is close to fitting any billing.
  4. Did I say the situation should be re-evaluated or not? Did I close the book on him? How do you know Walski is so bad? I atleast have reason to be critical of Greico's play. Your only reason is a vendetta against ND hockey players. Let me guess you didn't think the sioux should have tried harder to get Danny Irmen or Ryan Potulny or Grant Potulny? There have been some very good sioux players from North Dakota and others that the sioux should have recruited harder and regret now. Just of the top of my head: Jay Panzer Jeff Panzer Nick Fuher Tim O'connel Quinn Fylling Andy Schnieder Others that got away: Ryan Potulny (This one hurt, Danny and Ryan are better than any forwards the sioux have had in a long time except (Parise and Toews). Danny Irmen (Really hurt, tough to explain this one) Grant Potulny (This one hurts because it could have been the sioux winning those championships if they had Grant) Corey Mclean (Captain of Notre Dame) Mike Peluso (It wasn't like he flew under the radar) Mike Eickeman ( I can think of more than a few Defenseman I would have traded for him)
  5. Hey, I need some work done on my air-conditioner what do you think you can do for me?
  6. Although I think the situation should be re-evaluated at the start of the season. Nothing has lead me to believe Greico will rival Phil for ice-time. I like how you talk down on Walski like some do to Greico. It's ok for you to talk down Walski but everyone who talks down on Greico isn't a Sioux fan. Where do you get your logic Red?
  7. I agree. He hasn't proven himself but if he is the guy for the future you have to give him some reps.
  8. I'll admit that I picked Ottawa to win it all last year and they let me down but this year they are firing on all cylinders. Goaltending hasn't let them down yet, Defensivley they are strong Preissing,Redden, Phillips and offensively they are Big, Strong and Fast. Should be a good series.
  9. Ottawa is a jugernaut and they will continue to roll through their competition.
  10. I'll give credit for the research. Atleast you can counter with somthing other than personal attacks, unlike most of the other posters on this site. I came off wrong. I meant to say that the Senators probably weren't hoping to have him work it out in the AHL after playing a few years in WCHA. He was drafted in 2005, they usually would like to have them in the NHL within about 2 years. I wasn't trying to say that playing in the AHL is bad, I was trying to make the point that for Lee to work it out for a few more years in AHL after the years in the WCHA is not what the team was hoping for. The players you named above probably started playing in the AHL a year after being drafted and played a year maybe two. They didn't play 3 years of college and then work it out for a few more in the AHL.
  11. So are you saying that not all high draft picks pan out? How does that refute my point that top ten picks are supposed to be impact players? If your already calling Lee a bust than thats fine but to say that the senators were hoping to get him into the NHL after a few years in the AHL is ridiculus. They thought he would be ready to step in by next year they don't usually waste #9 overall picks on players who are going to be seeing their first action when they are 26.
  12. Yea, kind of like Jason Spezza who had 87 points in 67 games.
  13. #9 overall picks aren't supposed to play in the AHL. They are supposed to be stars in the NHL like the #9 that was drafted 2 years earlier Dion Phaneuf.
  14. Again where was he going to go? Ottowa is loaded on the point. Redden, Preissing, Phillips log most of the ice time.
  15. Yea, I think all UND players suck. Thats why I said that 3 of them were "great" in the post you quoted. My post was idiotic? I'm not the one who used the fact that Duncan was a free-agent to try prove he was getting offers. You could say that about anyone that wasn't drafted. "The offers would have came after the draft": This was also a good quote, just curious when was the last time someone got an offer before the draft?
  16. Where was Finley going to go? I don't think he could make a single UHL or ECHL team, and it wasn't like teams were dangling boatloads of money at Duncan. Hes a great player but he wasn't generating much interest. People weren't really busting the door down for the other two either. Again both are great players but you act like they turned down 100 mill to come back to school.
  17. I guess that I'm still a little confused. This arguement started by me saying that malone is over-hyped. Which in your previous posts called his team "bad", and in your same post said that he isn't on the top line or power-play. But yet you still think he will be a good player next year for a good Division 1 team? Could you please explain your logic?
  18. Whats next TRIOUXPER are you going to try convince us that you sold his parents a radiator flush too?
  19. You obviously know nothing about the USHL there are very few 20 with most players are 1988 birthdays meaning they could have only been 18 at the begining of the season. There are also alot more 1989 birthdays than 1987 birthdays. I thought you were agreeing with me when you said this: "He is on a bad team... As a result he doesn't play on a top line or PP much." So hes not even on the top line of a in your opinion "bad" USHL team? But some guy on here says Malone could be a first liner next year for a "Good" division one college team?
  20. I didn't know Kozek was playing hurt, but that explains his stride. Actually I have seen Sioux Falls play before and Malone was an average forward on his own team. He isn't better than Moreland (FM Jets), He isn't better than Lamaroux (Tri-city), He isn't better than Fisher (Sioux falls).
  21. Kozek will not be on the first line, his stride is painful to watch and he isn't good. Forney can be good but he will not be in there because he hasn't proven himself. Miller won't be on that line unless they are playing Quinnipiac because that the only way he is a factor. Malone is way over-hyped, (yea you heard it here first). Vandevelde is probably the best fit there because of his skill level. Potential Departures: Toews Hopeful Departures: Lee, Finley, Kozek.
  22. Alittle of topic but, Laupsided I think it is about time to take that Climate crisis anouncement off, people have been talking about global warming for 20 years and yet we still have a wind chill of -7 in April. I think the gig is up.
  23. Sioux got exploited by BC's good team speed. Finley and Lee had no answer for Gerbe and the other burners. Yea that was me who said about a 3 months ago Finley was a liability against teams with good speed.
  24. Well, actually Walter Johnson / Cy Young were said to have extremely high velocity on their pitches. Older historians say upper 90's would be a good estimate. Cy was before Ruth's time, and Johnson was shutting it down while Babe was still pitching. You can also make arguements that the Wcha was very strong in those years, look at the NHL all stars that played college hockey in the 80's era. Brett Hull (UMD), Ed Belfour (UND), John Casey (UND), Chris Chelios (WISC), Neal Broten (Minn). These are only a few that I could think of off the top of my head.
  25. 23-4 with losses to Roseau who we can never compete with (9-1 my senior year) and 4-1 (last year) and they won't be in the same league as them this next year again, South who they will play 3-4 times, Grafton who they will play 3-4 times, and some soft team.
