(2) tickets for final five available.... southwest corner, lower bowl..... great seats.... great UND fans around you... GO Sioux
-
I figure BE or Walski.... BUT, I thought Harrington looked like a very good positional goaltender on Sunday - although we didn't see many shots (2), he looked the part - that's all I am saying - He looked the part
-
I like the fact that we will get tested right away (BU is a definitly top tier team). I think we will keep it close and one team will get a great goal from a new face (ie. #17) in the final few minutes to pull out the victory!!! UMASS will be tough early, but I feel our depth wil take over and we will win a 5-2 type game... MY BIG QUESTION? Who will be in goal! GO SIOUX

Vandy - FridayDuncs - Saturday

I may be FIGHTING SIOUX biased, but here are my thoughts on the line pairings: We have a very talented group of upperclassmen with a HIGH potential bunch of fresh. and sophs!!! The lines will rotate - as they always do - but, Hak and co. will do their best to put the best lines out there based on previous performances and practices. That being said: At Home (with final say on line pairing): Our top line will skate all over opponents (3) and (4) lines... Duncan will center and have the best cast to put up big numbers Line #2 will outskate the slowest line of opponents, and VV will be the centerpiece of many scoring plays. Line 3 or 4 (not the checking line) will play consistant hockey against opponent (1) and (2) lines, and have some big contributions throughout - although, they will also be slowed at times. The checking line will hold-up many WCHA teams (1) ans (2) lines with big hits and defensive stands. All-in-all we should be high scoring at home with Dunc and VV fighting for a league/national scoring title.... On the road: Other teams will try to match our speed and scoring ability on lines (1) and (2) with minimal success. We will have low scoring games, but may make up for it on the blue line and with some "new" scoring threats from the middle line. Also, it will be tough for teams to match their scoring line with one of our bottom two - as UND will have some "new" scorers which they may have to focus on more than their own scoring threat. On the road we will score a littl less than at home, but a defensive mind will help us win some close ones. Eidsness will start working Friday's with Walski doing the clean-up on Saturday.. Somewhere mid-season one will prove himself (or the other be hurt) and bring us deep into the national playoff picture. I love the chance to watch Hextall - grit with a scoring touch, and Gregoire, who may be the rookie of the year if he can come close to matching what he has done in the past. MVP - Duncan MVP - Runner up - VV Rookie - Gregoire Rookie runner-up - Towes (will be a lot better next year, although a stud this year) Goalie - I am riding the Eidsness bandwagon Defensive MVP - Jones steps it up to elite Defensive runner-up - I see Malone becoming a fixture (against a lot of Sioux Sports predictions)

what song (and by whom) do the sioux usually come out to??

We are looking for two season tickets for either or both nights... Please let me know if you are selling any
-
CC in 2 - easy wins UND in 2 - close game Friday, 6-2 win Saturday UMD in 3 - Very close and interesting series UM in 2 - They are a very desperate team SCSU in 3 - big goals from a high powered offense are the key UM over UMD in play in game - close one, worth getting there early for UND over SCSU - scoring a ton of goals as a make-up for this past weekend CC over UM in a great game - "great" meaning the goofs get man-handled CC and UND is too close to call - I will be there cheering for my Sioux and think we will win a great one!!!!!
-
I am looking for (2) playoff series tickets for each night... willing to pay a fair price! Send me a personal message if you have anything and are willing to sell... Thanks
-
Thanks to AZSioux for all the hard work this year.... I really enjoy the game, and hope to play again next year.. I took the #1 seed into the playoffs and threw it all away with my poorest week of the year! Good luck to everyone and here's hoping a Duncan Hat Trick rings up a ton of points!!!! Climber78

Good Luck to everyone who made it to the top 16 playoffs! I look forward to the competition this week..... wish I could pick my fav. Sioux player!!! Strange Brew, where from?

Not in response to a pecific posting, but "all this negativity around here - SUCKS".... I went through this the last two years when friends and co-workers were counting the Sioux out! Never count the premier college hockey program in the country out! The Sioux have look pretty damn good all year - they have the ingredients in Lammy, a solid and bigger defense, and many dynamic playmakers on offense (oshie, duncan, Vandy, watkins, and many others). They have looked better than the opposing team in most series, and just have yet to put 120 minutes of total hockey together.... It will come, and everyone will suddenly be Sioux-per Fans again and predicting sweeps and playoff wins... In closing, I would like to predict a hard fought Friday night one goal win, followed by a Saturday blow-up by my favorite player to watch Oshie - Final Saturday UND 6 SCSU 1! Welcome back to the bandwagon most of you have already decided to give up on the best entertainment/talent for hundreds of miles around..... Joli!

I have 2 student tix..... if you think that will work -
Here's hoping someone has found out they have to miss the game....... I am looking for 2 tickets both/either night for the series.... Willing to pay..... No preference of where the seating is.... There is a few beers in it!!!!

I predict a close game on Friday - Sioux 3-1 .... Saturday the Sioux will come out strong and put up some goals - 6-1 Duncan will work the magic from in close, and Malone and Chorney will set the defensive pace.... Expect exceptional goaltending all weekend, but with pressure the Sioux will put up some goals (35+ shots on Saturday).

I was not speaking of any major mistakes, I just noticed some hesitency in the attack zone when 5 on 5. You are correct about his shooting ability, I am just stating that it will take some time for his complete game to show up. Good observations about the powerplay, as I forgot to mention this in my post..

Trupp - A speedster who will only continue to improve as he adjusts to the college game! He has flashes of superstar in him, and I am excited for him to have some college weight training in the coming years. I think we can expect him to contribute early on, but these contributions may be streaky! Malone - A big guy with a nack for finding the puck. He was my favorite rookie to watch these past two weekends. I believe he has a lot of adjustments to make to the college game, especially in adapting to the speed. But, I like that he is a powerful forward who is not scared to jump into the middle of things. Here's to hoping he turns into a Brandon Bochenski type forward. Frattin - How amazing must it be to play with Oshie and Duncan as a rookie. I have see some good things out of him, but have also seen some mistakes. He will have pleanty of opportunity to rack up the assists this year, and I predict he will become somewhat of a scorer towards seasons end. Watch out for him during the WCHA playoffs and on! LaPoint - He is skinnier than I had imagined, so I cannot wait to see him as the collage weight training starts to add the pounds. I have watched him play on the line, and he seems fit to be out 5th or 6th defenseman! I think he will be streaky throughout the year, but I am excited to watch him progress. Marto - I have not seen enough of him to have too much of an impression, but, during the Manitoba game I was impressed with his willingness to get in the middle of the action. He seems to play bigger than his size indicates, and I think he will be an important part of this team in the future. Davidson - Not much to go on here. I am excited to see him lay some checks on the Northeastern team this weekend (if he makes the trip). I love his size, and that size alone can keep teams on their heels. We will find out more about this large forward in the coming weeks. Overall - I am impressed with the freshman class. I feel this group complements the team well, and am very excited to see them mature a FIGHTING SIOUX! One point of emphasis is the size this group brings to the SIOUX. It has been a while since we have had such a large group of skaters. Lets see if they can all gel together and make a run at the title!

Probably a little bias... But, I believe it is our time to shine!
