It's all about hard work and determination - which we are not displaying this year yet. On the 4th goal we let the D man take 4 strides in from the blue line without anyone coming up to challenge him - "LAZY". And how many times last night did we watch one of our own just lackluster his stick at the opponent? No Body, No physicality, just laziness. This team needs to step up, and step up fast!

We have beaten numerous teams throughout the years - even when NCAA "Sally" reffing was in play! We will get some bad calls against us in the next (4) games, but we just need to stay on our game and use that anger as motivation! Motivation to put so many pucks on the net that opposing goalies cannot think and become razzled. IMO we need more pucks on net and less of the 3rd-4th passes to make a "pretty" goal. Remember way back when we beat Mich Tech 5-0? Lots of pressure, never let them steal an errant pass, and kept them back on their heels and not able to use their speed against our D. Our suspect netminding cannot give up soft goals while their goalies are scrambling to cover up the plethera of shots we are taking and the opponents D is icing everything just to get to the bench and get some Oxygen. 12 periods of this hockey and here's #8. Fighting Sioux Forever!

Yeah, about the announcers.... my wife saw "different colored pads" and "blonde vs brown hair" in the second period as they switched goalies about 830 mark of the second period.... the announcers continued to refer to the bison goalie as the starting goalie throughout the game... obviously, we could see a different name on the jersey for much of the game... how do they miss that? Stupid.. Where's Sweeny?

Our captains need to step up and declare a party of this magnitude "too dangerous" to the upcoming year. This is the message Hak is sending. You can believe your ass the captians will be more aware of what everyone else is doing the rest of the season, they just needed a little reality check here at the beginning of the year... The suspension gives the young guys a chance to showcase in Alaska, and I am looking foreward to seeing that! Plus, this ensures none of our captians will be injured in game one of the season! AND everyone should be on their best behavior from here on out! Win-Win-Win situation.

Relax people! They received minors, which happens to a large number of college age adults each year. They didn't hurt anyone, completely make fools of themselves, or put the program in a negative light whatsoever! Hak will deal with it internally and let the rest of the players know what is expected from here on out. Let's move on and get ready for a fun RUN AT A NATTY!
