  1. Kacie had her best game of the season. But scoring was actually pretty spread out.

Kacie got 12 of her 34 from the line, and most of those came before the game started on a technical when EMU didn’t get their lineup card turned into the scorers table on time and late in the 4Q when EMU was in foul mode.

    Orth chipped in with  16

    Oz had 10

    Hoskin 7

    Hurst 6

    Daninger 4

    Vanderwal 2

Idaho State looking for a new HC. Theirs just went to ASU to work for a former assistant from his days as a HS coach!

Any RBs on their roster want to transfer and run behind a young up and coming O line?  Tall, speedy wideouts?  Big D linemen from American Samoa?

Somehow I think the line would be the same regardless of who we got matched up with:

”if we hadn’t been matched up against insert team we’d have a home playoff game.”

I would love to see some transparency in the bids. I certainly don’t trust the NC$$ at all.

So would I. A lot of armchair speculation out there. Begets message board ‘truth” begets message board “facts” begets message board “legends”.

If what Chaves said is true, it’s unfortunate about losing the bid.  If we hadn’t been matched up with Weber, we’d likely be enjoying a game at the Alerus in six days.

And  bitching about how the holiday, weather, hunting, apathy, fill in the blank is keeping butts out of the seats. ( :

    What was the technical?

KB drove the lane through the trees and scored on a heavily contested shot. She told Jack Michaels in the post game show that she looked right at the ref and yelled “And one!”. She got teed up for that.

Practically every player says that to refs at one time moe another with no technicals given.

If this is the case, then Kostich deserves every ounce of criticism he got on Saturday. I did bold this part, because to me it's completely situation then almost. I don't care how good you feel about your kick-off coverage, after a TD put the opponents on the 25 every single time. Last weekend was not the first time where UND gave up a huge return following a TD that completely changed momentum.

Agreed and Coach K gets it. He's a smart guy. But don't take the red hot spotlight off the kick coverage unit, as well. They need to execute in those situations.

Does anybody if there's something wrong (specifically an injury) with Brady Stevens?  I don't think he kicked one touchback on Saturday.  IIRC, he was getting touchbacks regularly earlier in the season.  I didn't fully understand the importance of kickoff touchbacks until the season:huh:

GeauSioux is a wayyyy better authority on this than I am... but I don't think there is anything wrong (injury wise) with Brady's leg. He could kick touch backs all day long anywhere if he wanted to. I think he is simply doing what the coaches tell him to do before each kick, based on scouting and watching tapes. If there is high confidence our special teams can shut down a returner shy of the 25, then why automatically give them the 25 with a touchback? Now, granted after that it's up to player execution, from Brady to the kick-off coverage unit.. .and that was simply brutal on Saturday.

Was there as well. Up in the Suite at the end of the Alerus where the goal line stands took place. It was deafening in the Al that day.

But did the band play when we were on offense? Simple fn' question!

I guess I don’t know what the DII records are, but I would assume with a season and a half left, he would be sniffing all-time school records.  Someone have access to the all-time stats?

Go to Fighting Hawks.com and go to Football and find the 2022 Media guide. Scroll down the PDF to the records section. That will give you where he was at at the beginning of the 2022 season in some categories. Then just add on this years stats.

EDIT: For other categories, you can go to his roster full bio and look at his updated career stats to compare to all time leaders.

It’s all been just D1 records he’s been setting right? Not saying it’s not impressive.

When you get a moment check out his placement in all time stats (not just DI), and then extrapolate from there. Fun to imagine what’s to come.

Bye State is gonna drop 30 on our “d”

This could happen in the Polls, in a proxy sort of way… if our past opponents, for the most part, continue to suck it up. Sam Herder has, at least once in the past 24 hours, downgraded our status due to the performance of our opponents, to date.  Of course no mention that the opponents of the #1 team in the nation are a combined 9-20. Our opponents are a hair better 15-20 overall. This will all correct itself in the coming weeks through head to head match ups in the MVFC.

Oh and screw the polls!  Especially the coaches’ poll.
