  1. Or maybe she just used campaign contributions.
  2. Our present fossil fuels are heavily subsidized, too. "Conservative estimates put U.S. direct subsidies to the fossil fuel industry at roughly $20 billion per year; with 20 percent currently allocated to coal and 80 percent to natural gas and crude oil. European Union subsidies are estimated to total 55 billion euros annually." https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwjaqeH8zvDrAhXPKs0KHaYjAykQFjACegQIDBAG&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.eesi.org%2Fpapers%2Fview%2Ffact-sheet-fossil-fuel-subsidies-a-closer-look-at-tax-breaks-and-societal-costs&usg=AOvVaw19hoVerhdeT2ikCdjE4CH6
  3. I'm not upset at all. I'm just pointing out how things work at the Nobel Institute.
  4. I can say I've nominated you and no one can truthfully say otherwise until the official list of nominees is released 50 years from now.
  5. From the article you cited: "The five-strong Norwegian Nobel Committee, which decides who wins the award, does not comment on nominations, keeping secret for 50 years the names of nominators and unsuccessful nominees."
  6. How do you know this? The Nobel Institute does not release the names of nominees. In fact, the names of Nobel Peace Prize nominees aren't revealed until 50 years after the prize is awarded.
  7. More likely a money pit. https://www.grandforksherald.com/opinion/columns/6652971-McFeely-Will-taxpayers-be-left-out-in-the-cold-by-Project-Tundra
  8. Fox News 9 reporting, so it must be true: https://www.fox9.com/news/56-covid-19-cases-linked-to-wedding-reception-in-southwestern-minnesota
  9. You should read the entire article: "But researchers say the solution is not to test less, or to skip testing people without symptoms, as recently suggested by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Instead, new data underscore the need for more widespread use of rapid tests, even if they are less sensitive."
  10. Woden tries to bring some order to what is certainly an on-going chaos: https://www.collegehockeynews.com/news/2020/08/25_The-Path-Back.php
  11. Good grief. You're bragging about IQs when you can't make it through six sentences without showing your complete lack of command of the English language? Try again after you polish off basic life skills. And by the way, voters in over half the counties in North Dakota have voted completely by mail for years.
  12. And you obviously don't realize how vote-by-mail works. Try again when you get yourself educated beyond what fauxNews pours into your head.
  13. Name an assumption. I can update my physical address online. Y'all realize 32 of North Dakota's 53 counties have been voting by mail for several years, right? By the way, 72% of eligible Colorado voters cast ballots in the last presidential election. North Dakota barely hit 60%.
  14. My Colorado ballot is automatically mailed to my address of record. It will be mailed to that address until I notify Colorado of an address change. I vote, sign the ballot and drop it in the mail or at a secure collection site. If the signature doesn’t match what’s on file with the State of Colorado, the ballot, and the vote is invalidated. it is the system that ought to be adopted nationally, but it won’t be because it was enacted by a ‘bunch of liberal treehuggers’
  15. Because having covid is no guarantee you won't get it again. As I've said before, the antibodies are short-lived and won't provide "immunity". Any vaccine is going to have to focus on t-cells rather than living or dead covid cells.
  16. A vaccine is the only way out of this mess. A vaccine that doesn't rely on antibodies.
  17. With the NCAA kicking the can down the road on DII and DIII fall sports championships, and a growing number of DI schools cancelling their fall sports, I'm really wondering if there will be a hockey season. :-(
  18. How about statistics? Colorado has been voting completely by mail for quite awhile. The system has been called the "gold standard" by election experts both liberal and conservative. 2,600,000 ballots were cast in the 2016 general election: ZERO fraudulent ballots. I'm not very good at the maths, but I think that is 0.00%
  19. I've yet to see any reputable scientist say herd immunity is possible with this virus. Many people have become infected a second time. The antibodies have a short shelf life.
  20. So you're okay with a Kent State situation? That speaks volumes. In the words of so many smug sycophants in this thread: you be you.
  21. Really? You're advocating lethal measures? No arrest, no investigation, no trial. Just put a bullet in them?
  22. Actually, you began this trip down the rabbit hole by claiming all democratic presidential candidates supported allowing illegal immigrants the right to vote. You've not backed up that claim successfully.
  23. Oh. So not voting. I must've misunderstood your earlier post. Carry on.
  24. I'd like to see video of this. Surely your have it handy.
