Going in up 17 at half vs 14 would have been big. Hoping it’s part of the continued growth of Danny at OC a situation that’s different the next time it’s presented.

I’m actually going with the play calling didn’t change if you rewatch the game. Plays were there. Just need to execute.

You have said before UND doesn’t have D1 athletes but now say they play down to their competition, which is it? I also challenge you to go back and look at the play by play charts from the game and see if the run/pass ratio changed. I’ll save you the time, it didn’t. Also, rewatch the game and you will see that the plays were there, just didn’t execute. I am confident however that the coaching staff will coach players up on that and we will continue to see improvement on our offense as we have the same QB running it the third week in a row.

And this is why at the time I had zero problem with what we thought were three straight run plays to settle for what should be a chip shot 37 us FG to go up 10 with 5 minutes left. Nate had played a fantastic game up to those two drives and for whatever reason got happy feet. He 100% made up for it on the last drive and took what they were giving him.

Players doing their own thing will be very apparent on film. Likely there is nothing to see other than a disgruntled fan/parent in a fan board.

Thank you. I have been trying to say this since the game ended yesterday and rewatched it again this morning. Also will be some spots on tape where Kett will see UC Davis was jumping the sideline stuff and a check to WR2 or 3 would have resulted in nice gains. I’m confident Danny will coach him up on that and he will get even more comfortable next week.

I was being sarcastic. All the piling on the coaching staff but overlooking the start of the game.

I can think of some untimely penalties that had some decent chunk plays called back (ineligible OL downfield, holding on Maag, etc). With those penalties we were not getting into favorable down and distances. A QB who after getting sacked had two series where he developed happy feet and spent time running backwards. Likely a few plays where we could have taken a shot or checked to a different WR. I think Kett will see on tape some plays that he threw to the sideline when the inside WR was wide open on his route.

They were sitting on the same throws Kett made on the last drive the two possessions prior. I was really nervous. Glad they decided to lay off and give the short stuff again. On the last drive #8 was 5 of 7 and I bet he averaged 6 yards a completion

With #8s two possessions prior to that one, I’m not sure I throw it either. He was a head case at that point. Maybe should have run a play or two with BB at QB there. Player missed a FG there that we should expect they make.

It seems he has the running skill set to run this offense. Not sure how he throws the ball.

Pretty certain he was granted a release by the AD before a head coach was named.
