  1. Well if the stuff just wouldn't have been sitting on the shelves. They where practically begging for someone to take it.
  2. Typical bison attitude, its always someone else's fault.
  3. Change isn't a bad thing Hammer. But after years of bison fans making light of Ralph and his donation and having a loud voice on where he stands on some issues, namely the nickname, with the athletic dept. Now the shoe is on the other foot only some bison fans can't admit that. Gene saw the opportunity to finally get something done with the BSA with the condition that Innovis be kicked aside. He ended a 50 year relationship for a huge check that is plain as day. But to bison fans making a decision based on what is in the best interest of a donor is suddenly a wise move and Gene is a wise man. Our previous president and athletic directors where foolish and gutless to bison fans for doing that exact same thing. So which is it?
  4. I don't doubt it was Johnson and personally its a good deal for ndsu. I just think its comical that even after its done Danno and other fans still have to compare themselves and their deals they made with UND to see how they stack up.
  5. Really Danno, Gene just ended a 50 year relationship for a check that isn't even written yet.
  6. Maybe on the outside but actually if you look real close the inside looks more like the inside of the Fargodome come playoff time.
  7. And your shots at UND and the Ralph now are equally as empty. bison fans made a joke out of the Ralph for years only to see their beloved AD who can do no wrong turn around and !@#$ on a 50 year relationship for a donation so he could finally get something done with the BSA. So which is it? Is what Taylor is doing as comical as he is? Or was the Ralph a great business move by UND? By the way just to clarify, Ralph was an alumni by the way and had a longstanding relationship with UND, no relationships had to be ended to get Ralph to donate the money. I think I know what your answer will be so do you like your crow served cold or should we warm it up for you?
  8. That was a nice recap of the spring. Can't wait until August.
  9. Also, yes Innovis did discontinue the contract but they only did so because they finally realized that a contract means about as much to Gene Taylor as the paper it is written on. I'm sure he had only nice things to say about Innovis while he was agreeing to meet all of Sanfords demands to get that check that hasn't even been written yet. Would you want to continue to provide services for someone who does business that way? Not saying either is right or wrong but you trying to paint Innovis as the bad person in this is laughable.
  10. Jealous of what??? Congrats, ndsu got someone to donate some money to help with a stadium renovation that has been needed for the last ten years. Not exactly earth shattering stuff. It happens everywhere including Grand Forks. I'm actually suprised you couldn't get a law firm down there to write the check with all the business Coach Bohl has brought into Fargo in the last year. Maybe thats where the money for the football office remodel came from.
  11. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Don't let facts get in the way of Danno's point he was trying to make about how Gene really cares about the long term relationships ndsu has. Just take Dan's word for it.
  12. Wow. Tell me you where either kidding or drinking with your hell raising hockey boys before you typed this.
  13. Very solid post.

    2010 Season

This will be a fun game to attend.
  15. Wow I never saw Taylor's quote before this. Maybe he should be concerned because out of the above list of 9 ndsu coaches spent time with 7 of them during recruiting. But like you said star, this is just the media picking on poor ndsu.
  16. Ok, I don't know how our current team would compare to a Alabama team of 30-50 years ago but I know we'd get our bells rung by their current team. I'm pretty sure Nick Sabin is their coach now and he's one of the best recruiters in college football.
  17. Playing a team like Alabama would be nice but two things: 1) I think a program wants to keep the FBS teams they schedule within their recruiting boundaries. Helps with name recognition. 2) the day that Sioux (or whatever the nickname is) football is ready for a program like Alabama will be a great day to be a UND football fan. I think programs need to also schedule smart as they have a full season to play after that game.
  18. I agree with you but its funny how when that UND athlete is in trouble BV and bison fans will pile on and it will be ok. When the shoe is on the other foot than you call into question UND fans intelligence.
  19. Probably a lot more when UND is playing.
  20. I disagree was well. I know the communication with a lot of the major donors for this project has been going on for some time and they've covered everything with these people, including the possible name change. Name change won't set it back.

    2010 Season

Thats my thoughts as well. Just looking at SDSU's schedule for last year they could really use another home game. It would be a nice get for UND as well as it will be a nice boost for local recruiting to go beat the most successful 1AA team in the region.

    2010 Season

Mussman just said on WDAY that they look to be adding a road game for this season and get a return game in 2011 or 2012 I believe. SDSU??
  23. 5 of us at my house in Fargo. 3 for Wisky and 2 for BC
  24. If you believe that Douple is sitting in his office right now reading Siouxsports or BV than Stay classy though and keep coming on here trying to stir the pot when you have no dog in this fight.
  25. I believe its because until ndsu actually fills their schedule for next year and the year after and the year after with 6 home games like Taylor says he will do than UND and Faison still hold a little bit of negotiating power. Right now Faison looks a little silly but he is also the one who has to schedule 7 non conference games per year. He can decide every other year is the way to go anytime he wants. Taylor is not going to pull that offer. If he says no but still doesn't have his schedules filled for more than 2 or 3 years out than who looks silly. It doesn't hurt UND and Faison to hold out. If Taylor can only schedule a DII or lower this year for a 6th home game people are going to have to ask why he didn't take UND's every year offer. Now back to SR deciding its best to drop the nickname.
