Opie and Anthony - they are a raunchy talk show that is kind of a knock of Howard but they don't have people stripping everyday. They have nothing to do with sports, but on 204 is hockey central and is continuous hockey talk all mouring; both college and NHL.

After getting XM I will never again listen to Tim and Swyg again. It is frustrating to have a local morning show where the two of them are best buddies with every person they interview and anyone that sponsors them. Both of them are very nice guys, but that's where the compliments end. O&A could be some of the most screwed up talk radio ever but at least it is interesting!

Andy Schneider - Is he in Grand Forks this summer?
#1 Sioux Fan replied to LFSPRO's topic in Men's Hockey
Yes Andy is in town right now. I believe he plays softball with his brother. -
Steady Eddy is very proud to be a Sioux (attended NC two years ago) and I would bet that Dayn would be attending UND in a year or two.
-
Yes he will be playing this season, he hurt his ankle beginning of last season so he left to play in I think Sioux Falls

Dr. Fulp in the office park behind where Club Medvue is a excellent doc. He is very personable and has corrected by back quite a few times.

I have to agree with this statement. NDSU needs UND as much as we need NDSU at UND for possible recruiting

What maybe the saddest deal of all in this nickname deal, was that only 4 people stood outside. Now if I am not mistaken there was 12K in the Ralph that night and only four people protesting, something isn't right. The comment in the Dak Student about this being a racism topic is amazing (no more ugly of a word exists). The conversion that is highlighted in the article about the runner left me with many questions. First the comments about this jogger wanting to be a Sioux and being proad of this honor to be very respectful though the response was a little strange - 'Me too'. Somehow is he not PROUD to be a Sioux if UND has 'his' name? During this conversation with the Sioux member; was it metioned that his people are a proud people and that they didn't feel the Sioux logo represents them in a good light and the reason why(open ended for who ever may know more about this conversation). It seems as if the artical focused towards scholarships and anger. Also, was Lapointe the only Sioux member protesting??? Referring to the Eagle feathers, he was the only Sioux who could have these feathers that he had met that evening? Overall I thought the article was written by a highschool senior that could NOT get to the heart of the topic - though this is just my opinion!

This letter goes to show how bad of a paper the herald is for even publishing it. Is there nothing better going on in the area then some horribly written letter from Bismarck. Where did this guy come from? Did he ride horse up here from Bismarck??? I think this guy has a screw loose and maybe should stop at Jamestown for a rest! WOW

Michigan State blew the doors off of Fairbanks, should help the Sioux in the TUC's for the NCAA
-
6 minutes to go, still tied at 2

This whole TUC winning and losing teams is making my head hurt, somehow UND drops one to the land cows and moves up in the standing to a number 2 seed. I think what is really going on is some gopher fans are in controll of the USCHO web site and are making life miserable for everyone else. What happened to DU, CC, and oh - US!

From what I have heard, Glas does not like to recruit bball players. It makes him uncomfortable. From what I have watched winning makes Glas uncomfortable as well. As a part of the alumni of UND, I would think that some are letting Bunning know that it is time for Glas to leave. With his son graduated and gone, I hope this is what happens. He and is family are very nice people and I hope all the best for them, but his coaching skills lack, his teams talent potental is never met (NBA player=no championships at UND), and people leave when his team hits the court. Oh, and who recruits a kid that is 6'6" and can't post up, oh we do!

There has been one timer's going in the net all season signed by Drew Stafford. He had one or two on Duluth and two on the Tech, both on seperate nights - about as far as my memory goes back. The art of the one timer is a skill that has to be mastered, that's mainly why you don't see a lot of it in college hockey and a lot of it in pro hockey. The Sioux need to exploit Staffords incrediably hard one timers with setup plays, which seems to be already happening. The biggest thing in lining up a one timer is the pass, which Drew has been setup perfectly several times this season.

If I read the stats right, the Mavs sweep over Buck was without any points from their top line - Backes & co. It shows their team is deep, but UND is much more talented and skilled. Sioux sweep!
-
I have to disagree with us wanting to play St Clown. I would rather play Mankato, even if they swept a broken Wisconsin team. The goals against is much higher for Mankato amost 1 for 1 with goals for. Clown is amost at 2 goal for every one against. The Sioux should lock up a place in the tourney with a win tonight and face off with the Mavs at home next weekend. Last I checked Sioux moved up to a #2 seed with some help from around the league. Go Sioux

I-AA West: University of North Dakota, It's Time to Move Up
#1 Sioux Fan replied to ralphputer's topic in NCAA News
I think the move to division 1 for the Sioux will be closely related to how well the alumni support it, in terms of money, money, and more money! Not to take anything away from anyone, but this topic is in process of being decided at UND by UND students, alumni, and supporters. I find it hard to believe that someone that never went to UND can say if UND should go division I. I grew up in Grand Forks and attended UND and still reside here in town. I didn't really care other than the rivalry if NDSU went DI, it's their boat to sink or float in. UND still has success and great oppenents in DII without the bison. In order for UND to leave what is know DII to the great unknown DI is huge! Trying to take the flakes of information that come out of NDSU and other schools hunderds of miles away that UND is supposed to transfer into successful and profitable athletic program in division I is mind bogeling. Comparing UND to UNH and Maine out east is dumb and I would hope that everyone would see that, not only are they closer to their competition, but their fan base or potential base is much larger than in all of North Dakota. NDSU is in a differnt boat completely with most if not all of the atheltic budget coming from football. I personally feel that UND should leave DII if they change their scholarship limits for football. Only problem going DI is that UND may never compete for a national title and maybe, just maybe win a division title. I don't really know what kind of prestiage that will bring to UND if any. Sioux sports have prestiage and honor,as noted in the article, at their current level and maybe we should keep that for a few more years -
Seems to me that the projected seeds place two WCHA teams in Grand Forks and one in two others and none in Albany. I don't think the NCAA will do this. They will place( if there is four teams from the WCHA) each conference foew in four seperate brackets. I really don't know why any of us follow this darn projected seeds anyway, because things can change so violently in the few remaining weeks that the first projection will not look anything like the final seeds.

Diamond in the Rough, refers to knowing that someone is great, but needs work and time to develop into a great playmaker, he is only 17, call me crazy but that is awfuly young and inexperienced in college hockey
-
Toews has unbelievalbe skill. He is a diamond in the rough this season, next year this kid will dominate. Oshie, Zajac, and Toews on the same line would be like Parise Bochenski and Murrey -
-
Thought Stafford and Zajac put on a clinic in puck handling and showmanship and DU was the audience. Stafford has reached another level- the man is amazing. NO lack of effort by any line tonight in my eyes, pure team performance
-
Can't agree more, Sioux brought the complete package to DU tonight. All aspects of the game were tight, PP and PK as well as the odd man rushes. UND has turned the corner in my mind. Watch out this team may have something yet to prove. No surprise as Madtown drops one to Mansucko, Bad-ger's lose all steam coming into the home streach, any word on the Minney game yet??
-
Have to agree with the squishy part of this NC$$ selection process. Don't understand how a teams can be compared if they have played 8 or 28 games against TUC. UND is at a huge disadvantage compared to St Lawarence ( 28 to 8 in TUC). Sioux need to finish up in Denver and move home for the Tech and first round WCHA playoff!!!!
-
I wanna see the Sioux team do the sweep salute at DU's arena!
-
First- Paukabith hit on Bina is long and done with, ask Robbie himself. Time to move on. It gets real old listening to everyone claim such anger and bitterness toward this player, it was a mistake and he paid for it last season. Drop it!!! Prpich's stick was incidental and like few have stated earlier, it happens several times a game, nothing to get all excited and wave your pink tie in the air about. Thought DU looked out of charcter, maybe a sign of the changing of the gaurd for the former championship team and coach. Good win, time to worry about getting in the NC$$ not about last years antics.
