  1. I actually think the program would have suffered at the D2 level with the junior and senior recruiting class if we had stayed on that course . What's helping now is the So, and RFr classes. Former AD Buning reduced Lennon's recruiting budget his final two years - so recruiting outside the region was basically impossible because of the costs of flights. In the meantime, NDSU and SDSU were scarfing up many of the recruits that Lennon used to be competitive for when there weren't FCS team recruiting Minnesota and Wisconsin.
  2. Was 40-31 at halftime. Sioux were ahead by 15 at one time. Now 42-34. Katie Houdek, Megan Lauck, and Alyssa Wall continue to make major contributions as freshman.
  3. After 3 Qtrs Montana 329 yds UND 154 yds offense http://www.montanagrizzlies.com/griztracker/fb/2010/05northdakota/xlive.htm
  4. Punting is keeping us in the game!
  5. Hendrickson pass completion!!!
  6. UND 66 total yds offense Mont 216 total yds offense Hawkins 99 kick return yards Ty Boyle 21 int return yards Boyle tied for the lead in # of passes caught - leads in yards after catch.
  7. Exactly. Which would be even more telling about the coaching situation.
  8. Shouldn't either Comes or Demler be ready next year? Both have arms. Redshirt freshman QB's aren't that much of a stretch at this level.
  9. Hendrickson 0 for 9 attempts Goska 3 of 7 UND QB's: 3 comp in 16 att
  10. They don't want to remember how anti-depression prescriptions skyrocketed then in Bisonville - the pharmaceutical business raked in a fortune all because the Big Sky chose UNC. That whole board has been manic-depressive ever since. Can't say they should be faulted for selective memory - just too painful. But really, Montana staying is absolutely wonderful news for the Big Sky and UND and for that we should be thankful. Now, if a miracle happens and the Fighting Sioux name is rescued by November 30th. That would be icing.
  11. The big print didn't help, as you're missing a very simple point. Montana used it's WAC leverage to affect change and get UND into the Big Sky, when it couldn't get the support before. If UND into the Big Sky hadn't happened, Montana could have been disgusted enough to go.
  12. Just to ensure the Trolls with the poor reading comprehension can see this: Montana is staying in the Big Sky in part because UM wanted to compete with more mission-similar institutions. Engstrom said the recent addition of the University of North Dakota strengthened the Big Sky Conference in that regard.
  13. The subtleties certainly escape your noggin. The chances of ORU or UMKC going to the Sunbelt are higher than UALR going to the Summit. Both are slim to none. Can that sink into a tiny bunny brain? Just because UALR is talked about on a Bison or Jack board or Kolpack himself, somehow that makes a move plausible, but when UALR fans actually talk about something entirely different, that's insanity by your logic. UALR will stay where it is, or at most move to the Southland. UALR to the Summit is just a dream for Bison and Bunny fans under the incredible delusion that (a) UND will come begging back to the Summit and (b) be blocked from membership by UALR's acceptance. There is so much love and good will coming toward UND. If you weren't so concerned about us, you wouldn't be here. BTW, you're the bunny fan that insists Montana is gone, the Sioux name is disrespectful, and UND is screwed in the Big Sky. What a pinheaded idiot.
  14. U Mary would probably have more stable finances. Better have a new Depends on when Montana announces they are staying. We all know you are waiting with twisted fingers for the Montanas to leave. When they do leave late this decade, we'll be going with them.
  15. When NDSU plays at UND, season ticket sales for that season go way up. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that, but somebody with a 6th grade education should be at least capable of grasping the concept. Corporations, companies, and fans buy many more season tickets just to ensure that they have the one-game tickets. Minnesota also experiences this when Iowa is scheduled to play at Minnesota. Kansas/Kansas St, Montana/Montana St, Colorado/Colorado St - demand not only goes up but the prices that are charged go up too. By denying UND the ability to have a major home game - until 2015 - it hurt UND football's finances. If NDSU scheduled UND in the Fargodome, are you actually stating that season tickets sales wouldn't go up for that season, and that season alone? With UND now in the Big Sky, it isn't nearly as important for UND football to financially to have an NDSU game. BTW, NDSU does not owe UND a game, nor does UND owe NDSU a game, like Bison fans were claiming in 2004. But economically, it makes sense for both to exchange olive branches and play.
  16. Moon: I believe the point was that TCU moving out of the MWC will have a domino effect on the WAC. The Big East desperately needs football credentials - either Pitt or WVU going to a BCS bowl with 4 losses is disgraceful - , and TCU would provide that. Both TCU and UCF going would likely mean the WAC loses two schools. The WAC isn't out of trouble by any means.
  17. Bison nation must be getting extremely nervous. Years ago said UND and UNC could very well be travel partners in the Big Sky. Bison fans ridiculed that. But guess what? It happened!!! Now am saying NDSU will regret being in the Summit / MVFC and will want in the Big Sky so UND doesn't have recruiting advantages and growing statewide support. Just laugh. We always knows who has the last laugh.
  18. As per normal, Danny boy, you are very slow on the uptake. I'll spell it out to you. After hiding behind the Sioux nickname as an excuse not to schedule, Taylor throws out a contract that would have the Bison playing in the Alerus in 2015 and 2019 (Fargodome dates in 2013 and 2017). That coupled with hoping and believing UND would be in the Great West for the foreseeable fortune, Teammakers and Taylor really thought they had UND football over a financial and competitive barrel. Now that NDSU is facing the possibility that SCSU is their travel partner in the Summit, while UND's home schedule and recruiting capabilities have significantly expanded, you can bet there has been second guessing of their past strategy.
  19. One of the reasons IMHO that Taylor wanted to delay the restart of the UND/NDSU series as long as possible, is that UND season ticket sales would get a major boost the years the Alerus hosts NDSU. Teammakers don't want UND football to thrive - but want it starved of funds. Season tickets sales are the lifeblood of attendance- and the only way one could assure getting NDSU-UND tickets is by buying season tickets. Now it's just cheaper and easier to buy tickets to homecoming and the Potato Bowl. A rivalry game is also what gets students enthusiastic and into the game.
  20. Minot is keeping it's United flights to Denver: that's where some oil traffic comes in. Salt Lake and points west don't really have oil companies that are involved in Bakken. What the ND oil industry really needs is a direct connection to Houston or Dallas, not Salt Lake. That type service could be coming later.
