A nickname that does not reference Native american culture ? "War Eagles", last time I checked the eagle was very symbolic in Native American culture. My whole point is that it may not be a name they want to pick as they may have trouble with that one as well. After they have eliminated everything "hostile" and "abusive", what's to stop them from eliminating things that are "sacred" or "symbolic" ?

Would you still find it intresting if it were a member of the band, how about the cheer team, people look up to them as well. It's always good to see our boy's get recognition for their effort. However pre-season polls and predications mean squat. #8 banner in the Ralph this spring, that's what it all comes down to.

This was a 30 minute run-time, no contact, intra squad scrimmage, played for the enjoyment of the fans. It's really hard to tell who was "the best" player on the ice. That being said, I thought Miller looked good, speed-wise, and he made a heck of a sweet pass for a goal ( I think it was to Fabian). Hunter Bishop also showed some speed and offensive ability as well. Any way it's always fun to go to the Ralph and watch the boys skate.

All I have heard the last three month's is how many player's we lost, it seems people are focusing on that fact instead of what did we gain, who is coming back, who might contribute more this year? All apologies for not specifically spelling it out for you. I forgot, you apparently can't even find gpl where people might actually care what you think. Maybe someday, someone will help you dislodge your head from your hind-parts.

The date that I said the Sioux are going to have a great year. I know, it's nothing that profound, I just think some people may be selling this team short this year. I think some will be suprised when they see how good of a team this could be.

I'll say it right now. Mark the date on your calender, this team is going to do just fine this year. Yes, off season signings were unkind to the Sioux, but make no mistake this team will still be quite potent. Defensively I think they will be sound. They have good veteran leadership in Porter, Fabian, ect. Oshie and Toews should both be dominant. Watkins and Kozek have all the potential in the world to have a breakout year. Our young guys will all fall into line and will hopefully contribute for the start of the season. No need to worry, just sit back and enjoy the ride, it's going to be a good one.

I think Jonathan will be a force to be reckoned with this season, were are very fortunate that he chose to stay here one more year.

First of all, it's nice to see Oshie get some love for his hard work, especially after last year's ROTY debacle (again). Second, anyone that does not include a Jonathan Toews on that list is just plain foolish.
