Both of you will move on, pending the official stats regarding the 1st goal. Seems Oshie has a chance to get credited for it.

Who traveled but isn't dressed?

BIG Advantage as Trupp is probably done for the day.
-
I went back and watched the Trupp injury again. It looked to me that as he fell to the ice, his leg ended up trapped awkwardly underneath himself and he rolled over it. I'm thinking(hoping) ankle, but watching him try to get off the ice was painful to watch.

Link to Fighting Sioux Media Page It's the 4th one down on the list

Anyone know what time the FSSN feed is kicking in? Just wondering if they'll air any type of pre-game show that the Duluth feed may have.

With the current situation, 8 WCHA teams and a whole bunch of them in the 10-14 range, there is no way they give us AHA/CHA first game, we would get stuck with a WCHA opponent the first game.
-
The picks are in!! 14Sioux17 - Ryan Duncan TJ Oshie Chris Vande Velde Andrew Kozek Evan Trupp 71Ray77 - Ryan Duncan Evan Trupp Chris Vande Velde Andrew Kozek TJ Oshie Again, good luck to both of you, but, as always, first and foremost - GO SIOUX!!
-
Friendly reminder - you have to have your pick posted by 130p central (board time). Failure to do so will result in AUTOMATIC ELIMINATION!! Good Luck to both of you!

Jake Brandt - The epitome of a team player.

If I wasn't a Sioux fan, those 2 bolded would look mighty enticing.

I've got a question for those more in touch with their PWR side. I was looking at our comparison with New Hampshire unh vs und .5795 0 RPI 1 .5881 13-3-2 .7778 1 TUC 0 .6800 16-7-2 6-2-0 .7500 1 COp 0 .6250 2-1-1 1-1-0 1 H2H 1 1-1-0 3 TOT 2 [/codebox] I was trying to figure out what would happen if UNH lost 1 or even 2 games against Merrimack this weekend. How would it affect our comparison? Well, I don't think it would. Merrimack(RPI - 36) is not a TUC, nor will it likely become one. We didn't play Merrimack, therefore they are not a COp. Sure UNH's RPI would take a hit, but we are already beating them in that category. Thus they would still have the comparison with us, and likely would not falter much in the top echelon of the rankings. Am I reading this right?

Games of interest for the Sioux this weekend: In order of importance, IMO North Dakota at Minnesota-Duluth - Go Sioux!! (take care of our own first) Minnesota State at Colorado College - Go Mavs!! (want a shot at the MacNaughton) Denver at Michigan Tech - Go Huskies!! (not only to distance us from Denver, but to keep MTU as a TUC). Ohio State at Miami (Fri only)(on CSTV) - Go Buckeyes!! (Miami is too close for comfort in the PWR) Ferris State at/vs Michigan - Go Bulldogs!! (they did it against Miami a couple weeks back) Merrimack at/vs New Hampshire - Go Warriors!! (need help to pass New Hampshire in the PWR*) *see bracketology thread for a question I have about a specific scenario regarding this series

I see we're trying to influence the Sioux Survivor picks.
-
Boy, this is one boring chess match. I think we have a classic case of waiting to see who blinks first. I'm betting we don't see either one make a selection before noon on Saturday.

A lot of times the cause for this can be that, since they plead not-guilty, they requested a jury trial. Jury trials are only held in District court. Municipal court only has bench trials(judge is the jury).
-
Why was this going in front of a District judge? Should it not have been in front of a Municipal judge? Couple explanations would be like who arrested them, a Deputy or a PD Officer? Maybe in Forks the District judges handle Municipal court too? Disorderly Conduct is a B-Misdemeanor in Grand Forks, right? Just wondering.

I live and work in Devils Lake. I worked 7+ years at Dakota Sioux Casino then Spirit Lake Casino and have worked for 6 years at the Lake Region Correctional Facility. I have many friends that live on the Spirit Lake reservation. I have yet to speak to 1 Native American that objects to the use of the Fighting Sioux nickname by UND. When(if) Pearson allows the tribal members to vote on whether or not to support the name, it will be supported emphatically. Having had my own run-in with the Spirit Lake tribal council over 6 years ago, it does not surprise me that they have chosen, themselves, to object to the use of the name. They view this whole situation as an opportunity to bring attention to themselves. They are getting sympathy from an established nationally recognized organization(NCAA). They are going to get everything they can out of this media monster before conceding and supporting the use of the nickname. They have too much to lose in the long run by not having a positive relationship with UND and the North Dakota college system as a whole, and they know it. *The above are my opinions and are devised by the experiences I have had in dealing with the Spirit Lake Sioux tribal council.

See below. So you guys play till there is 1 survivor. If that did happen, however, we would have to address whether you would be able to use the players you selected for this round again.
