  1. Congrats to Both!! USCHO - Hobey Top 10 Announced
  2. WOW!! Congrats to both, and well deserved!!
  3. Here is how I have the PWR shaking out after this weekend. 1 [AQ] Michigan (Mi) 24 .5957* 2t [AQ] Colorado College (CC) 22 .5943 2t Miami (Mm) 22 .5807* 2t New Hampshire (NH) 22 .5721 5 North Dakota (ND) 20 .5821 6t [AQ] Boston College (BC) 18 .5486 6t Denver (DU) 18 .5607 8 St. Cloud State (SC) 17 .5411 9t Michigan State (MS) 16 .5505 9t Clarkson (Ck) 16 .5364 11 Minnesota (Mn) 13 .5248 12 Minnesota State (Mk) 12 .5264 13t Notre Dame (Nt) 11 .5357 13t Wisconsin (Wi) 11 .5233 16 [AQ] Princeton (Pn) 8 .5313 22 [AQ] Niagara (Ni) 4 .5106 25 [AQ] Air Force (AF) 0 .5066 Now for my Brackets: Madison: 1 Mich v. 15 Niagra 8 St. Cloud v 9 Mich. State Col. Springs: 2 CC v. 16 Air Force 7 Denver v. 10 Clarkson Albany: 3 Miami v. 14 Princeton 6 BC v. 11 Minn. Worcester: 4 UNH v. 13 Notre Dame 5 UND v. 12 MSU-Mankato Only changes I made were in the 4 seed band, swapping 15 and 16. 1 thing of interest, in the scenario I picked, Notre Dame is tied at 13 w/ Wisconsin. What are the odds that Wisconsin hosting a regional is enough to flip that comparison in the committees eyes? Also, in their comparison against each other, they are tied at 2 with Notre Dame winning w/ a better RPI, BUT, Wisconsin beat Notre Dame head to head earlier in the year. Definitely something to consider.
  4. Personally, I'd swap Notre Dame and Mankato - Attendance wise....Albany is screwed no matter who you put there, IMO. Clarkson would be ideal, however, in this situation you sacrifice too much bracket integrity to adjust it. Also, I'd give Michigan, Niagra, move Princeton to play UNH and Air Force would be in the springs. Ultimately, the 3 unranked Auto Bids would be interchangeable I think. I'll take a look and post my predictions for what it will look like after the snow settles this weekend.
  5. How do they put Lerg (Mich St.) and Regan(UNH) up there but not Bachman(CC)?? I put Bachman in the top 10 before I put either of the other 2.
  6. Probably wouldn't have been a good idea for Johnny....is he still sporting those 50 stitches?
  7. I'm more for Notre Dame beating Miami and us flipping that comparison. If Notre Dame beats Miami, it all but assures the Sioux/CC #1's. I'll play with the committee tool more later tonight to see.
  8. Yes, Miami and Northern Michigan tie in the 3rd place game in the CCHA tourney. Kind of the same scenario with Notre Dame and Northern Michigan, if they meet in the 3rd place game.
  9. The NHL Network is airing ECAC Semis? VERY Cool. They will be airing the ECAC Championship game too, but it is tape delayed until Sunday, after the selection show. Props to the NHL Network.
  10. Hopefully he gets some ice time, especially with the Lightning seemingly out of the playoff race.
  11. Awfully high scoring picks considering the WCHA scoring trend this year. I'm going with SCSU - 3 UMN - 1 UND - 2 DU - 0 CC - 4 SCSU - 1 DU - 5 SCSU - 4 UND - 2 CC - 1
  12. Ok, check this out. Put in this scenario: Notre Dame over Miami Michigan over Northern Mich. Harvard over Cornell Princeton over Colgate BU over Vermont New Hampshire 0ver BC Denver over UND St. Cloud over Minn UPDATE and: Michigan over Notre Dame Miami over Northern Michigan Princeton over Harvard Cornell over Colgate New Hampshire over BU Colorado College over St. Cloud UPDATE and: UND over St. Cloud Denver over Colorado College Here are the rankings you get: 1 [AQ] Michigan (Mi) 24 .5950* 2 [AQ] New Hampshire (NH) 23 .5810* 3 Colorado College (CC) 22 .5885 4 North Dakota (ND) 21 .5819 5 Miami (Mm) 20 .5790* 6 [AQ] Denver (DU) 19 .5683 Now, go back and switch the Miami/Northern Michigan game to a tie and you get: 1 [AQ] Michigan (Mi) 24 .5953* 2 [AQ] New Hampshire (NH) 23 .5809* 3 Miami (Mm) 22 .5755* 4 Colorado College (CC) 21 .5885 5 North Dakota (ND) 20 .5820 6 [AQ] Denver (DU) 19 .5684 A tie in this scenario for Miami, would be better than a win. The reason - by beating Northern Michigan, NMU would not be a TUC, if Miami ties them, then NMU would become a TUC and would give them the comparison over UND. Really beginning to hate the TUCliff.
  13. By my calculations, we are a huge fan of Notre Dame right now, as them beating Miami, pretty much secures a 1 seed for us, as long as we win 1 game at the F5(doesn't matter which one.)

  15. Down to the final 2 players!! 31denbo1 - Miller Kozek 32Brainerd Sioux - Frattin VandeVelde Picks must be posted by 130p central time Friday, March 21st. GOOD LUCK!!
  16. Rk Name GP W-L-T MIN GA SV SV% GAA 1 JPL, Sr, North Dakota 37 24-9-4 2207:00 60 844 .934 1.6312[/codebox] Don't know anyone who'd not call that one AWESOME Stat line for a Goalie. Hobey Baker winner, maybe not, Hobey Hat Trick, DEFINITELY!!
  17. Mich State currently sits tied for 9th w/ Clarkson, who, ironically, is eliminated from their conference tourney also. Both are pretty secure in that they will make it in, however, nothing is certain in the world of the PWR.
  18. Borrowed from Priceless on USCHO.com
  19. Who do you want in the NCAA's? Minnesota or Wisconsin? Personally, give me Minnesota just because they're not hosting a regional.

  21. Tech was able to apply some pressure, especially the last flurry, but not much (if anything) got to Lammy. I had to laugh after the horn when Lammy got into the Husky guys face.....however, we can't have him losing his cool during a game where it can cost us, just nice to see some emotion and excitement with the guys. Also, Lammy tossed his goal stick into the crowd during the senior skate.
  22. Air Force beats Mercyhurst in 2 OT's - Air Force joins Niagra as the first 2 teams to qualify for the NCAA's Michigan State is upset by Northern Michigan. Clarkson/Colgate......still going.
  23. Air Force beats Mercyhurst 5-4 early in the 2nd OT. Northern Michigan beat Michigan State. Colgate/Clarkson still going.
  24. Yup! Also, the AHA championship game is in OT.
  25. Colgate taking Clarkson to OT. Clarkson loses and that'll be a 3rd team making the NCAA that isn't in the top 16.
