  1. I am hoping you are right. They need a spark bad. I think in a post made earlier someone mentioned this was a lot like last years team. Hopefully last night was like that AA game last year when the Sioux blew the lead. Look where that lead us to............Championship game. Let's hope history repeats itself.
  2. It feels like it has been for ever since I have watched Sioux Hockey and drink a beer at the same time. Therefore, I am going to leave work now and get started on my pregame drinking. Good Luck FIGHTING SIOUX!!!!!!!!
  3. According to the Oilers website Matt Greene was called back up today.
  4. Do you still have a ticket left? I have a buddy that is looking for one.
  5. Thanks for the directions and info. See everyone Friday. GO SIOUX!!!!!!!
  6. I think that was actually Fabain that took the puck in the hand. He was out there a couple shifts later. Though of course I could be mistaken too.
  7. We got our tickets from the Ralph yeterday. Section G I think row 8. Is the arena on the campus? I have driven by the campus so I know where that is. Just not sure where the arena is. Should I bring my gloves and hat inside to where also?
  8. I was watching the game and he didn't really go in head first. His skates hit first then he came around. It probably wouldn't have been so bad, except Foster was going in for the check before he went down. It was Fosters knee that pretty much put the hit on Blake. He felt bad and looked pretty sick after it happened. He stayed right by him until help came in.
  9. I called the box office at The Ralph yesterday and they had plenty of tickets for the game at Bemidji. $16 each.
  10. I will be there! I am looking forward to my first trip to Mariucci. I figure as far as the fans go it can't be any worse than the fans at the Final 5. Hopefully a little Sioux redemption that weekend.
  11. Thank You!! I couldn't agree more. Toews showed some great puck handling and was an inch away from a couple of goals. That "other"player showed the same move every time he came into the offensive zone.....between the defenders legs and then try to go around him. Just like he did in the WJC last year. He's good, but he needs to take some lessons from Toews on puck handling.
  12. 5 hours and counting!!!!! GO SIOUX!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Sorry, our route won't take us through there. We will be going through Duluth, that's a fairly short drive for you. We could always meet you there somewhere.
  14. As I posted in the Sioux/MTU thread, I have room for 2-3 more people in my truck. A buddy and I are making the trip. We went last year and even though there weren't as many Sioux fans there due to fb playoffs, we had a great time. So if you are interested just let me know.
  15. I am sure you all have heard that the bus is cancelled. So if anyone is interested a buddy and I are driving out early Friday morning, probably around 5 or so for the game. I can fit 6 in my truck, but comfortably 4-5 (supercab). So if anyone wants to join us on the ride and split the gas, just let me know.
  16. I seen Robbie's mom the other day, according to her Robbie has a doctors appt this week or next. That will determine if he is even cleared to skate. He hasn't been able to do anything this summer not even swim at the lake. So she said she would put her money on him not playing this year. She did say though that if he is cleared to skate who knows how soon before he is back on the ice in a game. His parents are wanting him to wait a year and he is just itching to get back on the ice. If he isn't going to listen to his parents I don't think he is going to take our advice, though we will continue to give it.
  17. There is an article on him in the Grand Forks Herald also. I am not sure how to copy the link otherwise I would have. It pretty much says the same thing.....They don't know what he is doing. That is how I interpret it anyway.
  18. Dave Hakstol was just on with Tim Hennesy talking hockey of course. Hak said as of right now, Matt Greene is coming back this year. He has been working out with the team, expecting to come back. He did say it would be a long two weeks and that things could change in that time. But for now they are going forward with him coming back. MG is also Jonesy's best man.
  19. I don't know if this means anything, but I was just on Hockeys Future website, and looking at Matt's profile. I know a coupke of weeks ago they had his future showing as 2005-2006 turning pro and 2006-2007 for going to the NHL. Now it is showing 2006-2007 turning pro and 2007-2008 going to the NHL. It was updated on the 18th. This is what is says: Future It is not a certainty that Greene will wait until graduation to turn professional. Some Oiler scouts believe Greene possesses the skills to be playing pro hockey now and would only need a short stint in the AHL, perhaps a single season, before he is ready for the NHL. Target Pro Year: 2006-07 Target NHL Year: 2007-08
  20. It was a current player who I talked with. Also Robbie is hoping he will be cleared by September, if not he will more than likely take a medical red shirt. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  21. Was this a reliable source? I heard from a source that Robbie Bina will not be playing this year.
  22. Did anyone happen to scroll down to the #15 prospect for the Oilers? Some interesting comments about Greene and Paukovich.
  23. Somebody knows his Matt's!!!!!
