  1. Totally agree! Gotta give reps to whoever returned it for sure!!
  2. That's a great analogy. The strenght of the individual doesn't matter if the team isn't pulling together!
  3. Hard to play for the crowd when there is no crowd.
  4. An on-ice demonstration of what? Their loss?
  5. Takes a real fan to stand up and take responsibility for his actions!!
  6. I believe there were several drunk Fighting Sioux fans in the arena who instigated the reaction by the DU player. Not his fault. Just ask Dasher Dancin' Gwoz, he'll tell you the same thing!!
  7. I was hoping for a tie but have to admit my smile is bigger when the Goofs lose.
  8. I was talking to the Medivac pilot while we waited for the weather to clear. Turned out he's from Orr, Minnesota and a WCHA hockey fan. Said that when UAA was D2, you had to stand in line for season tickets every year and they were sold out every year. He's disappointed in the fan base. He lives in Sitka now. Conversation was all about hockey. He can't stand Dasher Dancin' Gwoz, either!!
  9. I'll NEVER cheer for DU but I like a lot of UMD fans so I cheer for them.
  10. GO 'DAWGZ It hurts to put those colors up but..... GO 'DAWGZ!!!!
  11. Per usual, I open my email first thing and, boom, there it is. An email from the Alumni Assoc. with the announcement that President Clifford has died. I honestly can't believe he was 87, he was always so energetic and, I don't know, informed/intelligent/knowing, I can't find the word... I lost my degree a few years back and was issued a new one after President Clifford had retired. I really wanted his signature on my new degree. He still had an office at the U and came in regularly. A mutual friend asked, for me, if he would sign my duplicate degree and he did. It was a little thing but it meant a lot to me. It truly is a sad day for the University of North Dakota and all associated with her. My condolences to his loved ones and to us....
  12. Yeah we're just waiting for her to make up her mind. There's been an increase in earthquake activity on mainland Alaska and tremors from the volcano. I'm in a good place on an island (Admiralty Island)behind two other islands (Baronaoff and Chichagof), so the potential for damage here from a follow up tsunami isn't of too great a concern. My house is 50-75 feet from the beach facing west, so even though the natives aren't worried, I do have a little bit of unease. There are serveral houses built on the beach and cliff, so if the water goes too high, they may be lost. My biggest concern is the vog (volcanic smog). Remember how overcast it was in ND afrer Mt. St. Helene blew. I can't imagine how bad it will get here when and if Redoubt blows! You can watch her on web cam....when it's clear. http://www.avo.alaska.edu/webcam/webcam.ph...edoubt%20-%20CI

  14. Siouxmama and I (and our peeps) went to the Anchorage series a couple of years ago. It was fun. I'm in SE Alaska and will be here through July! Gonna catch me some salmon, halibut and I'm going to mingle with (run like hell from)the bear. There are more bear on this island than anywhere in Alaska (the world?). Anyway, I'm gonna enjoy my stay!

After the birth of Sarah Palin's fifth child, there have been regular public service announcements on all the Alaskan television and radio stations advising against that very thing!!
