  8. I don't agree with your take on the cup shot but I do agree that we should keep our discussion on the game. Unfortunally, Robbie's neck was broken by someone twice his size who came at him fast, hard, from behind and with total disregard of the blown whistle. This is going to follow both kids for the rest of their lives. It's not something that many of us are ever going to forget, disregard or ignore. Just read the news articles written regarding this series. Because of this, every suspect hit, check, trip, etc. to the Punk is going to be over read, over reacted to, and over discussed. Had Prp done the same to any other player on that team would there be a special thread for it? Not likely. It would have been discussed in the game thread and died there. Instead, you felt it needed it's own thread. By starting this thread, those of us who disagree that the action was retaliation/cheap, those of us who hate the Punk, those of us who read more into the action than I believe it deserves, those of us who think Prp should be benched/thrown off the tream/given a medal, are all here posting opinions. IMHO, by starting this thread, you're one of the two that has racked the Punk in the balls this weekend.
  9. Cheap, dirty, retaliatory, blah, blah blah. I don't, and many who have posted in this thread don't, see Prp's hit to the Punk as anything unusual that happens during a game of hockey. As I've posted, my son was instructed in the fine art of 'cup tapping' by many a coach at many a hockey camp. It's meant to get the other guy off his game. Works, too. As far as being seen as a cheap, dirty team, if that's what happens when a team plays a more physical game than the other team, so be it. Because a team is labeled that way, doesn't make it so. If you think that this is the first time the Fighting Sioux have been labeled as cheap and dirty, you either have a very short memory or you're a very new fan. Do you really think that the coaches and fans want a less physical team, a team that doesn't make the other players' hearts beat a little faster knowing who they're facing, makes them sweat before they even get on the ice, makes "them squeal when they're hit by our defensemen" and results in sleepless nights before their week-end series with the Sioux, a team who doesn't use their skill and talent to make and seize every opportunity to score? Do you? I don't.
  10. I love Prp's fiesty, in your face, 'how's your sister' personality on the ice. He has taken stupid penalties, granted but he definiately adds a special zing to the game that makes this fan smile sometimes and laugh out loud many times. Last night, what he did to Punkobitch was exactly what he would have done to anyone else he was facing off with as previously stated. It's what hockey players do to each other several time a game as also previously stated. Get over it, already. You want a flawless sport, watch Tai Chi. Now for what gets my blood flowing winter week ends------ GO SIOUX! KICK A$$ AND SWEEP THE PIOS ON THEIR OWN ICE TONIGHT!!
  11. Ok, fine, but I don't have to like him.
  12. Damn, that would have been totally awesome!!!
  13. Like Prp, he was trying to be 'distracting'.
