WOW!!!! I've been getting set up at my new assignment and haven't had a chance to sign in for a couple of days. I knew my post would bring fs1, 7NationalTitles and UND 92, 96 on line with their three card monte posts. Let me say this again, I don't know what Buning's job performance was and have NOT posted any support or non-support for the man because I DON'T KNOW how he was doing his job. I DO BELIEVE that Martinsen is a major player in getting rid of the man. I DO BELIEVE that he leaked the email to someone who posted it on SS.com on the same day it was sent to him because it was posted almost verbatim on SS.com. Say what you will, the only way that could have happened is by Martinsen sharing that email with a SS.com member. THE SAME DAY!! THE ONLY WAY, IMHO! As I've said before, fire the man if he deserves to be fired. There are ways to fire someone in a professional way and then there's the three ring circus/freak show that is now going on. Buning is likely using the LOA to step back and look at the situation before making a major decision. The LOA did not precede the unprofessional methods UND and 'the major stakeholders' are using to fire him. And IMHO, his taking a LOA is NOT contributing to the freak show. You're right, 'Why should anyone give a s**.....' I just want to say that just because someone is a celebrity, thay doesn't meant they don't have or shouldn't have an opinion. They're lucky that their celebrity gives them the public exposure to have their opinion broadcast farther than a sports forum. If I had that same celebrity, man o' man, just think of the possibilities..............

I'm setting myself up for attacks from all sides but, hey, when have I ever backed off from stating my opinion. I don't know Martinsen. From what is posted here, the guy is brother to Mother Theresa. OK, I accept that he is well loved by those who know him. My opinion is based on what has been posted here and what I read and hear in the media. I will likely never know the rationale for 'hiring' a volunteer that only answers to the President and who, from what has been posted here, appears to have considerable authority over the entire athletic department including the AD. Based on the following, I have come to my own conclusion that Martinsen, from the time he was 'apppointed', has been working behind the scenes to make Buning history, 1) Posts on SS.com made by members who profess to know what is going on behind the scenes post information that I have concluded came from Martinsen, and, the one that stands alone for me, 2) information sent to Martinsen in an email which was posted on SS.com the same day it was sent to Martinsen. I know nothing about Buning's work performance other than what has been posted on SS.com and in the media. He may well deserve to be fired. I don't know. I do know that the 'behind the scenes' shenanigans that appears to have been going on for months is unprofessional. There are rules, regulations, policies and procedures in place to get rid of someone who is not doing their job. The way this is being handled is disgusting. Flame away!!!!

This post is not about Ted as an individual. Why do celebrities go thousands of miles away from home to feed the hungry. Right here, in the United States, we have tens of thousands of women, children, and men who are hungry, who need housing, who need health care and before anyone jumps on the illegal alien bus, most of the these men, women and children are United States citizens. Many of these poor individuals are in their present state of hopelessness through no fault of their own. Feed your neighbor first then go save the rest of the world. *steps off soap box*

Sounds like a good compromise to me. 'Dorm main offices' should be more secure than dorm rooms which are likely open to friends, friends' friends, casual visitors, etc.

First he calls hunting the 'murder of defenseless animals'. Now, he's saying hunting shouldn't be illegal. Oh, never mind, this is DaveK after all......

Why did four people resign after it has become public that the AD is very likely to be history? If he's the problem and the problem is gone, why resign? I also find it telling that Volunteer Martinsen is 'suggesting' to Harmeson he do an exit interview, etc. of those resigning. Who's the boss here? What a mess..........
