  1. That maroon and yellow mass is Barriball? I though it was Finley's 'dump'.
  2. Hey, I think you might get a law student to help you with your lawsuit. It will probably only cost you the price of a Fighting Sioux hockey jersey.
  3. WRONG!!! The PA announcer is not 'press' or 'media'. He is the home team's arena announcer which means he is a homer! Every college and professional sporting event that I have attended has had a 'homer' announcer. They play to the home team fans in a variety of ways which are meant to get the fans into the game, revel in a win or feel hope after a loss. Our announcer did his job and he did it well. Kudos to him!!
  4. OMG!! It looks horrible in the picture. I can only imagine what it's gonna look like in person! Let us know what it's like when you get it!
  5. Oh for Pete's sake!!! I own game worn jerseys and wear them because I'm a Fighting Sioux fan. And yeah, as far as I'm concerned being a Fighting Sioux fan is a helluva status figure! So all 11,000+ people didn't show up in green on Friday and white on Saturday. Ya know what? It's still a free country and people can wear what they want to, when they want to and where they want to. It doesn't make anyone a bad fan or a better fan because they did or didn't wear the right color. Let it go already.
  6. Hey how about that!!! Fighting Sioux and gopher fans agree on something!!! pstar is depriving a village somewhere of an idiot!!!
  7. Yeah, the first bus got there ok but the people on our bus wanted breakfast ( ) and we got caught behind a flipped over RV. No injuries that we heard of though. Still a great time, great fans, great memories.
  8. Me, too. I'm going to send her a PM and ask if she has any. She's a FUN fan. Phats and I were on Al's bus to Columbus with her and a bunch of other great Fighting Sioux fans. UNFORGETABLE!!!
  9. Where is it written we have the right to not be offended???
  10. LadyDy isn't the President anymore? She did a great job at the roasts. I'm trying to remember one roast that involved giving the coaches jerseys but can't remember more than that. I think it was last year. Help?
  11. Kudos to everyone who worked on this! It takes a lot of time, effort, frustration and dedication to pull something like this off. Thank you.
  12. I love the 'kiss cam' when two opposing players are in the penalty box!!
  13. All the game worns I have were washed before they were put up for bid.
  14. I know. That's why it's important to start them early. I have a picture of my 25 year old at age one and a half or two wearing a pair of huge earphones (funny pic by the way) because back then they didn't have little ones. I don't know how much protection your hands give. Check with their pediatrician.
  15. Ooops, I forgot, Congratulations on your brand new bundle of joy!!!
  16. When? This weekend? The Sioux announcer at the Ralph or someone/somewhere else?
  17. Oh, oh, another of my pet peeves!! Not saying you do this, but I hate it when fans bring their infants/toddlers to sport events or other events where everyone knows that the noise level is going off the noise scale and don't put ear/hearing protection on them!! Parents, please, please, when you take your little ones to a game/concert/etc., please put sound reducing ear phones on them. PLEASE!!!
  18. How about posting the vile things a certain Lakota Sioux posted on this site? Things he posted under his own user name about Sioux who supported the name and about other ethnic groups? How about the obscene things he posted as me after he hacked into my SS.com account? What about the things he and his wife have posted about Mexican Americans? That not only happens to be my ethnic heritage but his wife's as well. I guess when she married him, she, through osmosis, became Lakota Sioux. Their children are now full blood Lakota Sioux. Oh wait, he was within his rights because he is a Lakota Sioux who is opposed to the name and logo.
  19. I think he was playing injured. I think that he left the ice twice and went directly down the tunnel. The last time was just after I saw him take a hit and he was shaking his hand/arm afterwards. If some of our players played as well as an injured Oshie did last night, we may have won the game.
  20. Since when this this turn into a primer for child rearing?? I know the Siouxmama family and I am here to tell you they are the best parents. The family is involved in activities as a whole including going to hockey games. I know college hockey is an emotional environment, I know some hockey fans are drunken idiots, students and not. I think the problem lies in limits or lack of limits. Is it really necessary to scream EF the gophers over and over and over again? Is yelling obscenities about an opposing player and his father, to the extreme it was done last night, appropriate college hockey fan behavior? Is trying to start a fight with someone just because you don't like the jersey he/she is wearing appropriate college hockey fan behavior? I'm an alum of UND and have attended games for more years than many of you are old. I was a drunken hockey college fan, and on a rare occasion am still a slightly schnokkered fan. On occasion the EF word has passed my lips, I don't deny it. But, there has to be limits. I quit bowling years ago because the environment was so smoky. My choice was to bowl, not breath and cough continuously for two days afterwards, watch bowling on television ( ), or not go. I didn't go. Fair? NO!! I don't believe any parent who takes their children to a college hockey game, goes with the expectation that there is going to be a church like atmosphere there. But, they shouldn't have to be assaulted with obscene behavior for the entire game!!
  21. Right! He is not 'impartial media'.
