No no not at all! You misunderstood. I'm saying that Hockey's future gave him a "C". And they gave Oshie a "D". So that isn't the most reliable rating to go by. Crosby is one of the top 5 players in the NHL of course he's a star. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I have heard rumblings that the Gophers won't be visiting the Ralph this year. I sure as heck hope that's not true, but I guess we'll see.

What are some takes on next season? I haven't really thought about lines too much. Should Toews and Oshie be split up or put on the same line. I think they will be split up like Stafford and Zajac were this year. As for defensive pairings, what do you guys think? Will LaPoint or Marto be brought in next year. Don't know. Opinions? Line combinations? Fire away.

To give you all an idea, Hockeys Future had Sidney Crosby's rating before the season at 10.0C. And most people were sure he would become a superstar. It isn't always the most accurate thing in the world.

Just figured I'd let you in on the secret that we know Red Seal Peach won't win a grammy. I thought you would have figured that out as we were mocking their song "Fabian" with different ways of putting the word "Fabian" in famous quotes or songs.

I think that every one of those disney books should start out with the line "Once upon a Fabian,...."

Great Video!! Thank you so much. Watching that video makes me realize how much I like Toews and Oshie. I really hope St. Louis drafts Toews so those two can play on the same line for years to come. Favorite play of the year was the first goal against Michigan. That goal was so pretty it brought a tear to my eye.

It's the AHL. One step below the NHL. Parise played there before going to the NHL, as do many players.

Oh yeah. He is one of the top 3 players his age in Manitoba, as is his best friend Kelsey Tessier. It will be interesting to see if the Sioux are still interested in them, being they both got tossed from Shattuck earlier this year for cheating.

Saw him recently in a t-shirt & jeans getting snacks at the University station---no way he's even close to 200 lbs.. more like 185 or so.

With regards to Oshie, I feel that he needs another year of development. Let's do what we did with Fylling and send him back to the USHL to hone his skills. I think he could be ready then to step into this team on a 3rd or 4th line roll and be a grinder. He was obviously not ready to play this year.

Hate to say it, but I disagree with the lines. We all have our opinion though, so I'll state mine: Spirko-Toews-Oshie(That would be a lethal first line) Kozek-Watkins-Duncan(Very fast, VERY skilled....electric line) Porter-Fabian-Forney(GREAT checking/grinding/scoring line...all can score and all play very hard) Vandevelde-Kaip-Zajac(Not sure about Zajac, haven't seen enough of him. I think this would make a great beat the crap out of the other team physically line.) Lee-Chorney(Very good) Jones-Bina(Great defensively) Radke-Finley(Keep them together) I like to keep lines together as much as possible if they had chemistry the previous year.

I also always thought we were in a majority rules democracy. This is like saying that in the last election something like 45 percent of people thought John Kerry should be president and George Bush should not "we have to do something about this. If 45 percent of people don't want Bush, it has to be changed." Get real people. Majority rules in pretty much everything these days. I'm sick of people feeling that if 5% of people want it changed, that's enough. What if the other 95% of people absolutely don't want it changed(I'm one of them)? What about them? Oh that's right we don't count because we're not "real" sioux.

I have also heard that the only reason he signed with Wichita Falls was to get them to stop calling him. Chuck Schwartz would probably know more about this though.

If that is true(I will be in denial until it is official), thank you guys for great careers at UND. Matt you were a terrific captain, and Travis you have been one of my favorite players to don the Sioux logo. Great work ethic, very skilled, very humble, and very reliable in every part of the game. Thank you two again and hopefully you both have long NHL careers. Thanks!(still don't want to believe it.)
