  1. I agree! I am very frustrated too. I'm not a student (I'm not young ) and I would love to stand, but we have deadbeats that sit behind us that won't stand for anything. It could be the last minute of an overtime period, with a power play, and our team playing great, big hits, etc. and we will stand and they STILL don't stand. I don't get it !! We will stand in those situations regardless. A person shouldn't have to feel guilty for standing at a hockey game. If you don't want to stand, stay home! That's what I say.
  2. That is cool ! Good job guys!
  3. Wow! I just don't understand why the REA supports non-participating fans. I think on the back of every ticket there should be a phrase like: "This is a sporting event, be prepared to stand. Cheering is encouraged." I agree - only students should be allowed in the student section.
  4. I thought the Bam Bam was a good thing too. I think it might have helped to get some of quiet fans to make some noise. Now if there was a way to get more fans to stand that would be great!
  5. Oh for dumb! There will always be more important things in this world - like war, people starving, etc. etc. So you
  6. Does anybody know the name of a place in the Cities that apparently is owned by a UND alum and it is mostly all Sioux fans that go there before and after games? Also, where is it located?
  7. Great Post Dead Rabbit. I agree 100%.
  8. Just remember they are human like you and I. To err is human, they aren't perfect either. If you expect them to be perfect, you're expecting the impossible.
  9. IMO What's the big deal! They are college students. Just because they are athletes doesn't make them different than all the other college students that like to party and socialize. As far as people who believe these athletes should be role models, set good examples, etc. - that's the parents' job! You set the good example and upbringing, and let them learn a lesson by mistakes other people can make.
  10. I am having the same trouble, not being able to see the sample video. Also, my NU webcast was only good for the 1st period. I can remember in the past, the Michigan Tech webcast was pretty good with only a few scrambled moments. Hope this one works! Thanks to everyone on this forum for the very helpful information. I can always find the answers to my questions! Go Sioux !!
  11. The WCHA doesn't seem to get much respect until the very end. It seems like there are lots of articles about Hockey East but not much on the WCHA unless it's negative stuff.
  12. Thanks for the info. This will be my first away game besides the Bemidji game, so I'm pretty excited about it and hope that I will be able to see good with the SRO tickets. So this info helps. Thanks!
  13. Fox Rocky Mountain is 645 on Direct TV. What channel is Fox College Sports Central? On my channel lineup on my TV on Direct TV, tonight's game is listed on Fox Rocky Mountain, 645.
  14. I don't know. That's just what he said he heard on the radio. He said a person who works with Direct TV was on the radio and said this. Maybe I shouldn't have posted that, I just got excited when I heard it. Hopefully it's true.
  15. I just got a phone call from someone who just heard on the radio that Direct TV is going to cover both the Friday and Saturday games, but the Saturday game is going to be on a different channel. He didn't catch the channel number though.
  16. The Ground Round and Boston's are great places to watch the games and they allow under 21 in the bar sides, just not at the bar stools. Nice TV's too.
