Nothing is going to bring a bigger smile to my face on draft day then thinking about all the long faces in MN when Toews gets selected ahead of Kessel. Based on my opinion as to who is the best Freshman in the NCAA you may be thinking that I am an Oshie rube but you would be mistaken. Whichever team gets Toews is getting a potential Sakic or Yzerman which history has shown leads to more success than a potential Kariya or Selanne type player.

Ask Team Canada and the TSN Analysts from the recent WJC which forward from Team USA impressed them the most and, without the Green glasses I mailed to all of them, to a man they will say Oshie.

Watch how frustrated the Earl of Dive gets on Friday and I think you will appreciate the type of leadership Prpich brings to this team. Finally, what is up with attacking Duncan. He has had an impressive Freshman season and can't help it that he was overshadowed by two elite hockey players.

Actually, other than the nod on experience it is a clueless analysis. Parise has very close to the same numbers as Elliot and has been better in the second half so even on that one. The young Sioux D has been stellar as of late and is not the same D that Wisconsin played several months ago. As for Depth, boy you missed that one by a mile as even without Stafford and Fabian the Sioux lineup is as solid as you can get on both sides of the puck. Perhaps just as he fears that Oshie is the true ROY, Hextall also realizes that the Sioux will likely send his beloved Goofs golfing a little bit early.

Crosby needs to work on his D play for sure. Does Ovechkin ever hold his hand to his ear anymore now that he is the NHL. We all know who in the WCHA chose to copy his classy move

So by your fine logic then I guess you wouldn't take offence if we suggested that although some Gopher teams over the years have been very talented many of their banners, trophies and championships are somewhat meaningless because the Gophers were awarded a disproportional number of playoff games at home. The only ones that really matter are the ones that were won entirely on the road. Think about it.

Obviously Bucky will discredit anything to do with Oshie because deep down inside he knows what we all know, who the real NCAA ROY the year should be. So time to move on to a different Stat that really impressed me, six shutouts and a 2.06 GAA by a Goalie who starts in the WCHA and has 4 Freshmen start in front of him almost every game. Think of what Parise could have accomplished in the other leagues and with a senior D.

Anything is possible if Ziggy can stay hot. I am just impressed that both the Dogs and St Cloud were able to take their respective Game Threes despite the Colorado altitude disadvantage. First get by St Cloud and their stellar goalie which is why it is easy to predict that the team who scores first will win the play in game.

Skippy's always like to blame their lack of success against the Sioux at playoff time on either a Sioux goaltender who got hot or parachuted in from Canada. I think they are looking at the wrong end of the rink for an explanation and need to do some patchwork on their sieve.

Actually, I think being a one dimensional player makes you rather meaningless in the grand scheme of things including pahntom assists you garner while on the bench. Just my opinion though.

Too bad that playing for a big city school is usually a criteria for winning awards.

In my opinion Oshie's Game Winning Goals is the most impressive stat and must be close to a record for a Freshman.
