  1. RR does not have their Home jerseys in yet... As far as the game.. Props to RedRiver for stayin with South like they did. Regardless of the outcome, I still think Fargo was clearly a better team that either had a somewhat sluggish night or played to the level of their opponent. ... an how bout the Knights? is there any chance for our boys to turn over a new leaf in time to score big points in the East?
  2. As a GFC alumn I'm a little disappointed about this loss to SHANLEY!!! What happened out there?? Did anyone witness this?? I want an explanation!
  3. heh, if i remember correctly, didn't Fargo South sweep both our teams in regular season and EDC last year and yes I know that GF came to play when it counted but I guess to say that the gap is closing would be an understatement. I would say they've probably leveled with GF at this point. just my opinion i guess. Coming from GF, it's difficult not to be totally biased on the subject but that's how i feel.. thanx!
  4. I am going to save this quote somewhere and let you read it again at the end of the state tournament... Grafton PR and Fargo South are the teams to beat IMO. I think RR will be good but not nearly at the same level as GPR and FS. Central will be hurting all year but i think they can pull it together come playoff time and do okay. I think Fargo North will put up a much better showing than most think, with Klenow leading them. Jamestown, WF, Whap, Shanley....no comment
  5. So anyway, back to hockey... I'm curious, are there any teams/players out west to look out for this year?
  6. ...you're an idiot
  7. This is the most ridiculous thread I've ever read.. partially because eli is being built up to be a goalie god, and partially because the comments here were backed by zero hockey knowledge... with the exception of a few : )
  8. what what what?! nd pride, i respect you as a poster but Sam Aide for Mr. Hockey? ick! How bout Marto, that big Defense from RR, and Bair. and i wasnt quite sure if paul campbell was a senior but if so, he'd get my vote. just my opinion tho : )
  9. I think I speak for many when I say that the ultimate match up for a championship game would be Minot vs South. but I do have a feeling that GPR (playing their game) could knock off Minot. But being realistic Minot will probably take them. My predictions as of this point... 1. South 2. Minot 3. GPR 4. Red River .. and after who cares..
  10. My Predictions... West 1. Minot 2. Hazen 3. Mandan 4. Bismark East 1. South 2. Red River 3. GPR 4. Central ...The east is real toss up to me after that number one spot. I think Grafton can take Red River on any given day and I think Central can take Red River AND Grafton on any given day. These next few games are gonna be very interesting out East. BTW.. anyone got any game analysis's for me? didn't get a chance to see any of the games yesterday.
  11. I like these picks but I definitely wouldn't be surprised if GPR made it to the championship with south tho.. I realy like the way those two teams are put together South has great depth and GPR has a great scoring punch. it'll be interesting to say the least.
  12. Girls Hockey in North Dakota is really struggling. To be perfectly honest, people don't see the point in going to the girls' games when they can go to the boys games. The girls are having a really hard time getting attendance at the games. Free pizza seems to be their main attraction.
  13. The Johnson twins werent exactly small buddy if u weigh 190 lbs your not small, and they weighed at least that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  14. Hey Wilbur... Ur from Minot, is Minot the real deal or is that Western schedule just building them up to be that good?
  15. As much as it hurts to say, (being a GF native) I think that Fargo South is the strongest team in East hands down. Not to say Red River can't still knock them off. I just think that South is really on roll now with that 7 game winning streak. Maybe Big Dean finally found that groove he's been yappin about in the media. However, I did witness a fairly poor showing on South's behalf against Jamestown last night. (South won 6-3) It appears that Jamestown found a pretty significant weakness in South. All they had to do was throw the puck out to center ice and catch south's Defense snoozing on the blue. Smart strategy for a team like Jamestown. Props to them for hangin with em!
  16. ... not bad. How about: 1.Fargo South 2.GPR 3. GFRR 4. Fargo North 5. Central 6.Jamestown 7.West Fargo 8. Shanley 9. Whap. I honestly believe that scrappy North Fargo will be a stronger team than Central this year. As far as a GPR/Red River comparison, I think Grafton is a stronger team with the Campbell scoring punch.. regardless of previous results.
  17. Amen! Fargo South has already beat on both the Grand Forks teams once (Red River twice if you count the jamboree) and I think it obvious that the Fargo South boys are hungry for revenge on Grand Forks... as matter a fact, I saw several of them at the rink the other day sporting FSH shirts noting 00:47 on the back. For those who don't know what that means, it's the 47 seconds that they came from winning the state title last year. I call Fargo South or Grafton/Park River to win state this year.
  18. There we go! I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks that. I mean Crosby is absolutely incredible but it seems as though his fame is somewhat shadowing Bergeron who btw is without a doubt one of the top 3 forwards in the WJ's IMO. Bergeron is a grind it out player and will have success on the next level when he does so. He's also a great playmaker. As for Kessel/Crosby I think it's a little foolish to think that Kessel is a match for Crosby. Crosby sees the ice like its a videogame and he can see plays FAR before they happen (the sign of a great hockey player). Kessel I think is also very good but still a little young and not quite as mature of a hockey player as Crosby is. It seemed to me that all too often Kessel really forced plays rather than being a little patient and seeing the play develop. To me thats a clear sign of slight immaturity as a hockey player.. But please don't get me wrong Kessel is an awesome player and with a few years of development I think he'll be dominating college hockey. He just needs those few years for experience and development.
  19. Awesome! Much appreciated.. so he didnt look to flustered out there or anything? like he handled himself pretty well for as young as he is?
  20. I been gone all weekend with no means of communication.. Can anyone tell me if Lee saw any icetime against the Sioux?
  21. Yeah. I heard that as well. He's a pitcher I believe. But nonetheless he is a talented hockey player.
  22. Gee... My sincere apologies for not noting the sarcasm.. I guess I was an "idiot" to think that people reading these forums would know their hockey well enough to know that any talk of Crosby coming to the Sioux was ludicrous!!! Next time I'll remember to make TEN winking smilies after each bit of sarcasm.. Wouldn't wana be considered an idiot!
