Any truth to the story that Ralph has the legal rights to the logo that is used at REA. Do to the fact that he has changed a few things in the logo. So since UND rents the buildings from REA will that change anything in the legal end. If you change the name and keep the logo that was designed by the group that is backing UND.

I support fighting sioux sports in many ways and I will continue to support UND, but I am not the only person that feels that Rob should have got a shot at this job.
-
I wish Mr Buning all the luck in the world, but when you are coming into a dept that is 300.000.00 over budget and the club that helps support's that dept is in trouble also he better be a good fundraiser. Rob had a lot of local support including some huge UND almuni and if people think it is going tobe easy for anyone to get their instant support you are wrong. I feel this process they used to hire this new AD was wrong and it is going to piss off some BIG alumni and it could come back to bite them in the a--.

Committee's fourth choice, Kuppe's first choice??;)
-
How does a guy not make the first cut, but makes the second cut and gets the job. I wish him the best luck, but I feel it is a slap in the face for Rob. I feel we need to look at what direction Kuppe it taking this university. Both him and Phil H need to move on.
-
I hope Rob gets the job, he brings alot to the table for the community. When talking to Rob he alway's want's what's best for UND and the fan. It could take some time for the community to build the trust in two new people. I have heard they really like the guy from seattle for the REA job, and if that happens it could be a fun couple of years for the fan. Let's just hope the pres make's the correct choice for the fan. Because it could come back and bite him in tha A--. GOOD LUCK ROB!!!!!

GOOD QUESTION RD17 I know Phil H was a huge supporter of Purpur. I guess I don't understand why he is saying these things also. I heard that Phil's wife also had made a comment regarding Rob. I understand why their might be some people within the athletic department making some comment's ,because I think a few people fear for their job if Rob becomes the new AD.
-
Great Job iramurphy, well said. Their is alot of talk around town that Phil H and a few other people have made comments about ROB. I feel this is very unprofessional on his part and this should be looked into regardless who gets the AD job. Rob B has given over 25 years of his life to do whats best for UND. If ROB is offered the job I don't think he is going to have to go back home and talk to his family about taking the job or not. I know alot of people that have talked to ROB and they all say the samething , all Rob want's is tobe the next AD at the UNIVERSITY NORTH DAKOTA ( HOME OF THE FIGHTING SIOUX) GOOD LUCK ROB!!!

Do you think being 300,000.00 in the red, is going in the right direction and for REA when have they made changes in favor of the FAN.
-
I have been a huge UND fan for a long time and I feel that if Rob doesn't get the AD job they have made a huge mistake. Rob knows what UND needs to get the program back on track, if you bring in two new faces for the AD job and the REA job it could take several months to get the backing of the community. Both programs need someone who the community and the alumni have the trust to turn both programs around. I have been talking to several people in the community and a lot of people feel if you put Rob as the AD and Tarek Howard in at REA, You have two people that bleed green and two people that want whats best for UND not the pocket book. I have had the pleasure to work with both of these guys on different boards and they both want what's best for UND. GOOD LUCK TO BOTH ROB AND TAREK
-
All of the big boys have been going after Purpur hard, but I feel Rob brings as much to the table as what purpur does. Rob has been with UND for a long time and knows are program and what it needs to get better.I wish Rob all the luck and if he gets the job he will be a great person to work with.GOOD LUCK ROB
-
I can't speak for everyone, but I think ROB B would be a great AD, but I feel he would be good for UND. I have worked with Rob for a long time and it does not matter what he is doing he always puts UND first. I dont care if its a golf event or just talking shop he's always wants what is best for UND. Good luck ROB

I agree with you wbb2004 if the sioux win they have move them to #1.And I think they are also going to look at the cost for everyone to travel to regis. Last week Gene was asked about this and I would think he is going to voice his thoughts tonight. He was hot last week when the rankings came out so I think he might be extra hot tonight. Everytime we have hosted a region we draw alot of people.
-
Look at the cost it would take for UND,metro, concordia, duluth and augie to travel to regis,I wonder if that might have a play in there decision at the end of the year if UND runs the table. I would think you would get a better draw if we had it here also.So lets run the table and let the politics take over.

It would be great to see a mix of helmets and breezers, but the team is forced to buy their things from the rea pro shop and they pay double the price.? I personaly feel that when they bring in the new REA GM he needs to be a person that knows and feels what the fans want. This is not the big citie, so don't try to run it as a big time arena. When you piss off somebody in the big citie their are alot more people you can bring in to cover their loss. Here you start pissing the fans off you can only draw from a small area.It might be hard for to fill those peoples shoes. Thats way I keep talking about bringing in a local person who the community knows and he bleeds green. And that person needs to be able to work with the new AD. I heard from a friend that TAREK HOWARD has put his name in for the GM job.I have known tarek for several years and this is a person who brings a lot to the table. He played hockey here at UND, HE BLEEDS GREEN.He is a lawyer by trade and just look what he has done with the central hockey program. If in deed his has put his name in for the job I hope they look at him very hard. GOOD LUCK TAREK

A friend of mine called REA to see if they would show his son on the big screen for his birthday and they said they would but the cost is 25.00 dollars.Whats the charge for the kiss cam. And whats up with taking off the caps on your drinks.I have been going to sioux hockey and basketball games for a long time and I never once saw a cap tossed on the floor.REA must be getting a kick back from coke to turn back the caps for the two for one offer. WHAT'S NEXT ??
-
Talk is that it would cost big bucks to fix the problem. They say that the big sheet of ice is fine but the main sheet of ice is not getting cold enough, because the big sheet is higher then the main sheet and their is a problem with that main pump that works both rinks. The only way to fix it is to spend the money, which they won't do unless they pass the hat at the next home game or rise the price of beer.
-
I hope when they hire the new GM at REA they get someone with UND blood and somebody that cares about the people who have made UND what it is.Not someone that cares about the mighty dollar. Has anybody heard of anybody local or ex UND person that is going to apply. Thanks
-
I heard that Rob Bollinger is going to apply for the AD job.If he does apply I would think he would be a top pick also.I feel Rob would be a great AD and would be great for UND.
-
I think purpur would be a good fit,but someone said hes wife my not want to move back. Its going tobe tough for anyone to come in to this Job,the way things are with REA.I heard someone talk about Rob Bollinger might want the job.He would get my vote he brings alot to the table.GO ROB and GOOD LUCK
-
Would like to get everybodys input on what type of person we should be looking for to be our next AD.Lets hope when they hire the new REA manager he will be able to work with our new AD.They need to find away both departments can work together.Lets hope both departments think about the people who have made UND what it is today.Your input please GO SIOUX
-
I to cant wait to see him here at UND .From what I hear he is a great player and comes from a very strong family.Good luck the reat of the year and lets hope we see you in a fighting sioux jersey next year.
-
Thanks for the info Rick.
-
Nice job Rick well put.I dont think they are talking to much on POI today seeing that kessel is going to BU.I agree our coaches have done a hell of a job in getting kids to come here. The murray kid on that bantam list is it bradys younger brothter.
-
Talking with some ex UND players they say this kid is the real deal.He has all the tools of being a great player. And getting better every day.He also has a younger brother that is setting all type of bantam records in canada.
