Not a hockey player, but I just received a Jim Kleinsasser signed UND mini helmet back in less than 1 week. I sent it in care of the Minnesota Vikings. Thanks Jim!

I have done a bit more research and I was able to find some players addresses on whitepages.com Also, Jonathan Toews recently signed an 8x10 I sent him in care of the Chicago Blackhawks at the United Center's address. It took about 3 months to receive a response. Tony Hrkac has also signed through his coaching office.

I am an autograph collector and I enjoy collecting alumni. Has anyone had any luck with mailing to former players? If so who?

I am watching the game on TV and have noticed that the 'ND' patch has stars on it. I assume it is the 7 stars that represent our national championships. Is this right? Anyone know?

He signs through his team. I found an address on an autograph website that I used but he returned a note with the item saying he was relocating and would not be signing at that address anymore. I don't recall the address that I mailed the item. The best advice I can give is wait until he signs with another team or you hear he will be in Grand Forks. Then mail the item to his new team or to the UND hockey program.

I sent Ed Belfour a replica mini mask a few weeks back and received it back from him today and it was personalized! I was very excited. Anyone know where the Eagle has landed next season? Thanks Mr. Belfour

Any "new" throwback jerseys in the works this year?

I am trying to find a picture of the back of a game used Ryan Duncan jersey. Any color will work. If you have a game worn Duncan, Trupp, or VandeVelde jersey please message me and email a picture of the back of it if your don't mind. Thanks I use the pictures to make "jersey" shirts for my 18 month old son.

I live in Bismarck and the only thing I have seen or heard about the UND football team is when I click on fightingsioux.com and see that opening page advertisement. Not a day goes by that I don't see an NDSU football ad on TV. Is UND even trying to promote football outside of Grand Forks?

As I stated before, I also like the interlocking ND logo... but having lived many places outside of North Dakota, once you are past Minnesota no one associates it with UND. Regardless of the fact that we used it first it is still a bit like advertising for Notre Dame unless every person who wears UND apparel makes it their duty to inform a disbelieving majority that UND really did use the interlocking ND first. That is why I think a new football helmet logo may be a good idea. Additionally, it would be something the school could use to promote the move to D-1. Not changing because other schools have decided to use logos or uniforms similar to other schools is also flawed logic unless UND decides to follow lame follower schools not creative enough to come up with their own logo. Outside of North Dakota, UND is known for the Sioux nickname (and unfortunately the controversy), quality graduates, and hockey not the interlocking ND. Also, I feel the academic UND flame logo should remain academic as it does not really capture the feeling of our athletic teams.

Awhile back it was speculated that the uniforms may be changed as the program goes D-1. Any news on whether that is happening? I like the jerseys and the helmets we have right now but for marketing purposes UND may want to update the helmet logo (to avoid the nationwide belief that we are using Notre Dame's logo) or put North Dakota somewhere on the uniforms. Any thought?

Better NHL players maybe...but I can only come up with 1 other Hobey Baker winner. You could make the case for nearly all great UND players that their numbers would be lower without other players to help create opportunities. The idea that you have to carry an entire line or team on your shoulders to be considered great is not realistic and in fact if Sioux hockey gets back to that level it will be like watching Landon Wilson in the mid-90's...great player but terrible team.

I think the exhibition game against Mannitoba would be a great day for siouxsports.com members to wear NHL or International jerseys featuring former Sioux players. Just a thought. What numbers are the former UND players wearing for team USA?

I think the post above was refering to the jerseys with the 'North Dakota' block lettering not the Geometric logo jerseys that also said SIOUX across the chest.
